Got to the line all day, didn't need his J to fall to produce, could handle and distribute, could defend.
Harden is a better scorer with better range. In a lot of other areas he falls short and he is no type of leader. The OP starts from a premise that Wade's legacy is "inflated" and that he "rode LeBron" when he put in work despite his health already declining in the LeBron years. The problem with Wade is that he had a short peak and even still his career is ultimately going to look better than Harden's despite 1) entering the league at 23 and 2) having knee problems from the middle of his career forward. Wade was still stealing games as an old-time fart. Harden still giving them away in his prime. Harden has all the tools to be better, but he hasn't gotten there yet as an all-around player.

he has a career high in PER and WS in 09, huge numbers throughout that stretch really. 07 he was hurt, that was the period where he started missing games but then in 09/10/11 he was healthy, missed a handful of games only.

I think D'Antoni should get credit for being the force behind the current NBA style of play, and Harden is his greatest player with Nash a strong second. I mean, Kenneth Faried is taking threes LOL.

Nash was underrated in Dallas and you can go back to where he signed in PHX, I said it was the best FA signing since Shaq and a stellar fit for both team and player. I didn't exactly see the same for Harden but likewise he was already an established stud before D'Antoni and his game only took off since. Over time it's gotten a little cartoonish with the total green light but then again they were missing a lot of key players when that was going on.
