The roster was conceived to always have two 7-footers.
>I really don't get it. They have like five guys who are all >functional fives in this league: Bell, Green, Cousins, Looney, >and now Bogut.
Green always plays PF these days. He played the 5 during the first two seasons of the Line-Up of Death, but that stopped once they got KD. I like Bell, but he's still very raw on the offensive end. Looney is strong as hell but not incredibly athletic. And where Cousins' injury has been lingering is on the defensive sides. Guys are blowing by Cousins when he's in the paint, and until he heals a bit more, Bogut will be able to protect the rim more.
>Like, why don't they think they need another guy who can >shoot? They're straight up down to three shooters. I get >they're the fucking three best shooters ever assembled, but >still, lineups without Steph or KD have nowhere to go come >playoff time. Klay can't create, no one at all respects >Draymond on the offensive side of the floor anymore, and >Iguodala has played well but isn't a creator outside of in >transition.
The "Klay can't create" narrative doesn't really hold water this season. He's been a lot more aggresive at the basket this season. Yes, he's at his best when they're feeding him, but he's been able to vary his game and take it to the rack. Draymond is having an off-shooting year, but I expect him to bounce back when needed. It's been years since Iggy has taken the regular season seriously, and he's still playing pretty well.
>Feels like the Warriors have been flubbing personnel decisions >all year, even if I like Boogie, if for no other reason than >that they won't have to guard him on another elite team.
I disagree with that statement. If Boggie is willing to sign for the MLE, you 100% do that. McKinnie and Lee were both guys that retrieved off the scrap heap who cost essentially nothing and have been contributing. Lee is a shooter and has been doing has job so far. I think they imagine Jacob Evans would be giving them more, but he's clearly not ready yet.
Come >playoff time, though, Houston, Denver, and Portland are going >to make them wonder why they don't have more Torrey Craigs and >Gary Clarks and Garrett Temples rather than the endless bigs >who are going to be moonwalking against Harden and Murray and >Lillard. > >They'll probably still win. Just feels like they're tying a >hand behind their back.
