I don't necessarily believe in them in the playoffs (they can go to the Finals, but I doubt they're THIS much better than the competition, is how I'd characterize my feelings on them), but folks in here are just spouting.

Harden being able to somehow improve and PG doing what he's doing were the surprises. But Giannis's team was going to make more sense with all of this shooting, and he was going to improve. I don't know if I expected him to be THIS good, but I did expect the MVP narrative to make the most sense for him.

I would be freaked to be a Bucks fan going into the playoffs against a better in-game coach this playoff run, but we don't know Nurse's chops yet, and Stevens and Brown have both been suspect in the offs so far in their (admittedly young) playoff careers.

They likely won't face a great coach until the Finals given their seeding.

they were not "good" by any objective measure, they were a .500-ish team with bad management and bad ownership. in year two he won *60* games. he was over .500 for two more seasons after that. they sold off veterans and went into a full-blown rebuild. they did not fire budenholzer either. this is the least factual narrative you've put forth, which is quite a feat.

Walton is probably the worst coach in the league
and the Warriors were basically the best team ever
while he "coached" them.

Why?

Because they don't need a coach.

one of the best coaching decisions ever

other people on that team wouldn't be who they are if they hadn't played for Kidd.

Ditto for the Warriors and Mark Jackson.

That's actually a pattern in the NBA. Give a black coach a young lotto team and let him coach them up then bring in a white guy and give them all the credit when they start winning.

and not me, I was sure it was gonna be Boston.

thing is Milwaukee upgraded. and I dunno, dogg. it's gonna be hard for me to look past them or Philly now. Toronto either, but the Bucks have been working hard at this, and added more shooting. defensively they are likely the toughest out.

But its Kidd's fault Giannis wasn't a Hall of Famer
fresh out of the Greek division 2 league?

Jesus Christ.

He was properly developed by Kidd, and has continued
developing right on schedule. It's been clear he was
en route to superstardom for several years.
