"Le-GM's camp wants Walton out........"
Sun Jan-27-19 01:39 PM by GQ

https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/lebron-james-camp-wants-luke-walton-out-as-lakers-head-coach-per-report/

a' yo, i get it. Luke was picked in Bron's same draft class and may not have the stature to maybe coach a playa of 'Bron's caliber, but damn he still a good coach and it phucked up dat Bron and his crew want to push him out. props to jennnie buss for publicly supporting him, but Magic will prolly fire him b4 the year is out. smh.

And WHO they gonna get??

"You don't like climbing trees?......You're missin' out." - Michael Jackson

"But Michael, you're a 44-year-old man now, what do you get out of
this?" - Martin Bashir

"Prince Michael II but we call him Blanket......because it's an expression I use

THE LAKERS.

Or will they become just another vessel.

Miami Heat held their ground and I expect the Lakers to do the same.
But we'll see.

Blatt was fired - and the Cavs won their 'chip immediately after.

After Bron signed the 2-year deal in Cleveland (after the '16 'chip) - he lost his leverage, and the worst owner in sports took over, and disaster struck the franchise as they lost both LeBron and Kyrie due to unfathomable incompetence that has plagued that franchise for decades now.

Lakers don't need LeGM to step up in that capacity. Why? Because the Lakers have a world-class organizational structure. Cavs didn't. But Bron was a far superior "GM" to whatever iteration Dan Gilbert was failing with.

Blast and Walton probably try to, ya know, actually coach a little bit

He wanted Spolestra out too and had his hoe card revealed

This is literally the only thing he does that irritates me. I think he’s a phenomenal player and a good dude. Exemplary in nearly every area both on and off the court. But getting rid of people just because they annoy him is kind of a habit of his at this point and it’s weak.

He's never been coached by an all-time great coach. Jordan, Kobe & Shaq had Phil. Duncan had Pop. Wade had Riley. Who has Bron had? Spoelstra? (who is a fine coach but not an all-timer by any stretch).

I think Walton is a decent coach - but I don't think he's the right guy to lead this Laker team and match wits/experience against the top coaches in the game. Walton was fine for the young Lakers sans LeBron, just as Blatt was fine for the lottery Cavs sans LeBron - but you've got to scale up during this 3/4 year window in L.A.

Bron deserves to have an elite coach (for once), not just a good coach.

They're in danger of missing the playoffs

At best...a 1st round exit

= can't be Bron's fault.

FTR, I started the fire Luke movement

And as a 6ers fan, have to concede, it doesn't make any sense to fire a coach at this point of a season

Unless you're blowing up the whole damn thing.

Luke gets the courtesy phone call as soon as the season's over

hard to credibly make that case when they were a top 4-seed and the buzz was about them being a viable contender in the West on Christmas Day - to him getting injured (fast forward 5 weeks) and the Lakers being out of the playoff picture entirely, and seemingly the only hope for them to revive their season falls squarely on his shoulders.

Team has been hit with a lot of injuries - but I think they have enough talent (with a very deep roster) to stay afloat in Bron's absence. Unfortunately that hasn't happened.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

He held a clipboard while the warriors did their thing as a well oiled machine and somehow managed to convince ppl he was an elite coach who should run arguably the most storied franchise in pro sports

I have never watched a laker game and been impressed with his lineups , in game adjustments etc

Walton out; Brow in.

Pels are not going to have a successful season and simply don't have what it takes to supplement AD. He's done his time honorably in N.O. has a right to want a change.

For the Lakers - they may have been hesitant before Bron went down w/ an injury to unleash their young assets. But they've got to clearly see that while Ingram, Zo & Kuz are significant talents - they aren't the landslide impacting talent that AD is - and that's been pretty clear. I think you try to keep one of those 3 (preferably Kuz) - but you give what you have to give up to get AD, and then worry about everything else later.
