This is what sports radio is saying this morning.

and they claim the Championship game will give him enough juice.

TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*

I was actually thinking this last night watching the game

Teams that need a QB in the upcoming draft, basically have to fight over Haskins...

If you're the NYG, has to be painful knowing this guy won't be available for 2 more years

I'm not surprised, and I know you're inferring that the yt QB is getting support for a case that a black RB had his career destroyed for...

But dude is not ready

He got clobbered, repeatedly, staring down receivers and getting rocked from the blindside

He's a big strong kid that can shake off that hit vs 22 and unders

But a grown ass man would have ended his career last night

He not ready.

Just a stoopid conversation to peak interest leading up to the draft, now that the season's over

sure, he'll suffer some of the usual stuff that rookie QBs do, but he's already better that at least 3 starting NFL QBs.

so, in that sense, he's ready.

Of course the talking heads will say Trevor is ready because he carved up Ba but it’s his first year. Bama rarely gets tested vertically due to their rush but dude had a clean pocket for most of the game.

Now that teams have tape and an offseason I want to see if Trevor has another sensational year

Tua was the truth all season but once he had some pressure and had to play from behind he faltered a few times.

Just think this talk is bullshit and yes, if he was Black we wouldn’t be having this convo. It would be about protecting the kids from making bad decisions to turn pro before they are ready.

Where he was clearly the best defensive player in college football = the hit

but, to your point, he didn't need to play as a junior at all...and still went #1

Maybe the rule would change if more high profile potential lottery locks...sat out until they were eligible

I don't want to devolve into a merit by position debate

...but it's rare that a rookie QB enters the league and doesn't falter...

they almost all need at least a year in the pros to adjust

something like somebody said above, redshirt as a pro, would make alot of sense for a guy like Lawrence

he's obviously proven he can throw a ball really well

reading defenses and going through progressions...probably isn't going to happen at the college level anyway

The Giants woulda snagged him up quick

The fact that Haskins has vocally expressed wanting to play for the Giants means NY may pick him at #6, way higher than he would go in a stronger QB class

Those numbers are good enough to to win a football game vs purdue if our defense wasn't such a disgrace (Dwayne Haskins is a quarterback)

The NFL doesn't want that and really for good reason.

Their product will be diluted. It's already depressing watching how bad at fundamentals some of these guys are as it is.

Their will definitely be some blown careers and sad injuries to young guys which they will THEY will have to bear the PR burden for rather than some college.

Darnold got this hype after the 2017 Rose Bowl (bypassed by Baker Mayfield and Josh Allen's measurables)

Watson got this hype after the 2015 National Championship, when he had 500 yards of offense against bama as a true sophomore (by the time he got drafted the media was spinning him as a second-rounder)

hell, even Tua is starting to get the side-eye after being proclaimed the 2020 #1 overall pick in October

just saying, the longer you've been crowned as "next", the more ways people will find to be unimpressed

I know his Sophomore year was not great, turnover machine I believe, but they kept winning so that helped.
