Kirk Cousins' whole MO is touting his numbers. Padding numbers, putting numbers up between the 20s, and never actually accomplishing important goals or winning important games.

People do realize Cousins is not the problem in Minnesota, right?
He isn't the solution either but they have zero run game, the offensive line has been shit, they lost their OC and the new guy was pretty bad. All they do is pass and Diggs and Thielen are not Moss and Carter.
Oh and they still had Robert Smith.
Cousins is a good not great QB. Put the right pieces around him, you could win but they have to involve a running game.
Cousins throwing 45 passes a game for a whole season is not it.

I think Cam is annoying and overrated. People think he is elite or elite adjacent. I think he is good. So overrated because people think he is an A player and he is a B.
I think Cousins is exactly what he has always been; a good QB who is not great. He is a B player.
If I had to compare them Cousins is much more accurate; Newton has a bigger arm, is better in the face of the pass rush (Cousins biggest weakness?) and can run.

No one has ever really contended that Cousins was elite, and I certainly never thought so, so he is not really overrated IMO.
Cam Newton was one of the greatest college football players ever, A #1 pick and has generally considered to be amongst the elite or elite adjacent players.
We are talking about being overrated, right? Not just which player we think is better?

Regardless of your answer though…
Cam Newton's career stats are a mixed bag. They certainly do not scream elite QB to me. He is a dynamic dual threat and he has definitely had some impressive seasons…but he has also had some very pedestrian ones…and MORE of them.
Recent trends are not good either…he has thrown 28 interceptions in his last 29 games.
Even more recent trends are his team is nosediving out of the playoffs and he can't throw a deep ball to save his life.
Which part of the above is wrong?
What SPECIFIC stats are you talking about that make him a guy you can't claim is overrated.

This is all I have been saying. When was their some league wide consensus that Kirk is a CAPITAL-F franchise QB??
HE would still be in Washington if that was the case.

The dude is 0-41 when trailing a team in the 4th quarter yet somehow heralded as an elite QB.
He doesn't work with wide receivers in the offseason and low-key makes me miss Brett Favre. The Gunslinger lead comeback victories. Kirk Cousins is regular season good and that's better than 60% of the league.
