The Chargers play in a 35,000 seat soccer stadium and aren’t even the second most popular NFL team in LA or Southern California.
Plus, the Chargers haven’t really beat a team that is considered a super bowl contender. Their two losses were to both the Rams and Cheifs, their biggest win to date is probably against Tennessee.
If the Chargers can beat KC and Pittsburgh and win the AFC West then give Lynn COTY.
Rivers and Gordon are having a great season. The Chargers have probably one of the best WR groupings in the NFL. Their OL is playing great. Erwin James is having a monster rookie season, at minimum he should be DROY. If Bosa comes back from his injury and plays to his potential then the Chargers defense could go from good to elite.

Especially with Gordon out.
I am not sure if the Chargers win tonight they would win the division. Assuming KC losses tonight but wins out and the Chargers win tonight and win out, I believe KC would still win the division based on division win/loss record due to the Chargers losing to Denver.
The Chargers could go 13-3 and still be the 5 seed in the playoffs.

Definitely should be getting discussed more. I keep hearing Payton, Nagy, even Carroll but also never hear Lynn. Maybe that gutsy 2 point conversion call gets him more recognition.

Probably needs to be Matt Nagy if Bears win this division.
They had an easy schedule but the franchise has been moribund since Lovie Smith left-which was loooooooong time now- and his starting QB is not very good AND has been injured.

I am happy the Chargers were able to beat the Ravens on Sunday, however, if the Chargers could have beat them two weeks ago they wouldn’t have had to play the Ravens or anyone else this last Sunday.
The Chargers were outplayed and out coached in their first meeting, Coach Lynn even said as much after the loss.
However, Coach Lynn, the coaching staff and the players all learned from that loss and beat the Ravens this time.
The goal in the regular season was to win the AFC West and the Ravens loss cost them from achieving that.
