"Would you trade your current QB for Phillip Rivers, RIGHT TODAY?"

No trick question, no bullshit, no qualifiers. Your team, EXACTLY how it is right this second. You swappin your QB for Rivers. I was thinking about this a couple weeks ago. Wondering why people don't like dude. Seems like all he does is throw 3 to 4 TDs a game. Is it personality shit? Hmmm. Anyhoo...Giants' fans: You do not have to answer. I'm sure y'all would take Phillip Drummond, at this point.

...I'm from the era when A.I. was the answer, now they think ai is the answer - Marlon Craft

but every year it’s the same shit. Well, it’s one of two ways. Start slow and climb back to 9-7 and just miss the playoffs or start hot and then get cold and just miss the playoffs.

The problem I have with Rivers is he never makes that play that when you really need it.

The thing that makes Ben special is his completion percentage after contact.

It ain’t pretty but it works.

Rivers gets hit a few times and he starts throwing side armed curved balls.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

Unless Rivers wants to learn to play defensive back, can't think of a use for him as anything more than backup.

While he would be an improvement right today over the QB's for Chicago, Cleveland, Houston, NYJ, Arizona and Buffalo, not sure they would actually trade a young QB for a 36 year old. Same for a team like Baltimore, with a comparable veteran starter and a young QB waiting in the wings.

On age alone, I'd probably want Stafford, but if people who follow the team closer than I do aren't satisfied with him, I really can't call it.

If you asked me after every season who I would rather have on my team, I would pick Rivers most years.

But Eli did ball out in the playoffs both Super Bowl years.

I don’t remember any “oh shit” plays by Peyton in his last playoff run. At least Eli had some memorable throws in his wins but Peyton was a shell.

Peyton was just smart. got key first downs. never put his defense in a bad position. he always won field position battles, and those rarely show up on the stat sheet, even tho idiots will be like YOU CANT HIDE THINGS ON A STAT SHEET.

For sure, the Broncos defense was the MVP of that playoff run, but what about the Super Bowl when Peyton drove down the field, set the tone, and put points on the board? totally different game if he goes 3 and out.

Peyton had 143 yards and an INT.

He had a great career but that D dragged him to a SB victory.

All that being said, I’m usually not shocked when a QB of his caliber wins in his division.
