But man do the Heat have some awful mid level deals moving forward. Dion, Richardson, Olynyk, Johnson, Whiteside, Winslow, and Dragic are gonna cost them like 108 million. That is...horrendous.

The only viable strategy they have is “keep guys with potential, hope one or two blow up.” Cuz they aren’t beating Boston/Toronto/Philly without a breakout or two and they aren’t gonna attract studs without a stud already on the roster. This was a team playing James Johnson and Josh Richardson 37 minutes per game in the playoffs last year, lol.

Now he hasn’t played elite defense yet from what I’ve seen, but that’s where his potential lies. He’s gotta stay healthy and shoot well enough to stay on the court, but they aren’t paying him for his ppg.

Currently averaging 11/5/4 with 38% 3-PT shooting on the season. Has done 15/6/5/3 in the last two games as the starting PG, earning the role until Dragic's return in a couple months (assuming he returns). Second best on/off numbers on the Heat's roster. Heat have won the last five games Winslow has started, including wins vs. the Bucks and at the Clippers.

Thought they were worth mentioning. Besides, I noted the season-long numbers next to them. Not like I’m pretending those 2 games are the only ones that matter. He’s improved over the whole season, not just during his time running the point.

BTW, Devin Booker’s lottery picks can actually play and he STILL ain’t getttin them nowhere. Ain’t that the standard? Shouldn’t a great (dubious, considering no AS GAMES, no ROY, no ASMVP, no NOTHING) young player have his team in the playoffs by year FOUR (as opposed to three).
Maybe KJ and Ced come back home and help him.

See if he plays consistently well for awhile, and see what happens when Dragic returns.
We’ll see. That teams rotations can be all over the place from night to night so it’s hard to really know what will happen. It’s good for him that he’s finding a bigger role at the moment.
