My methodology is to simply go to the lineup page, put in the best lineup for each team and rank based on potential score (in parenthesis). Tie breakers were based off of who's potential lineups would have the most fantasy upside IMO. Enjoy!

could not really think of people on those rosters to play heavily over them so that's why i targeted those rookies.

Of the 29 that did, only 8 had a FPPM higher than 1.0
Only 5 of those 29 were 1.1+

Of the next group of rookies that played 40-59 games (12) only 4 had 1.0+ Fppg (3 of those are 1.2+), 1 scored 40+ FPPG and no other more than 24 FPPG.

There were 120 rookies (first time NBA players) in the NBA last season per sports.ws.

Shawn had the best team almost all season. Basa had a top 4 team most of the year. I was doing ok until Cousins got hurt but ended up making the conference finals.

Reg season had some relevance I suppose. In the end, it was Cenario (who's team did indeed start slow then took off in the latter part of the season) vs Ernie, who made some moves and improved (and played in the weaker conference...all the beast were in White conference).

2) Ryan: Too many questions on the forward front (Is Hayward OK? Will PG be good alongside Russy, or will he just sleep through games until the playoffs?) to be number one. The answers to those questions are probably "yes," but we shall see.

I didn't put a lot of time into this so it's for sure wrong. Still, I wanted to make sure to contribute. So, here is is. Don't bitch at me if you disagree.

1. Chi ESL Ill Staters (AB) - Balanced roster top to bottom. If Conley has a bounceback year, AB's is the team to beat. The Key: Mike Conley.
2. Atwater Kuzmaniacs (me) - Russy may regress, but PG will probably improve not playing alongside Melo. D12 might have been a dumb pick but everything else is solid. The Key: Reggie Jackson.
3. Gonzalez, CA 11:19am'rs (Shawn): This guard lineup is not to be fucked with. Harry Giles might be a huge pickup. The Key: Julius Randle.
4. Tribeca HiBrows (Ernie): Ernie's probably getting a bit overrated here because he's the GOAT Survivor player, but Gobert + Simmons is quite a tandem. The Key: Jayson Tatum.
5. Stanley Forms A Wall (Boogs): Nasty G lineup. QUestionable Forwards, but there's a lot here. The Key: John Collins.
6. Oakland Cardpullers (Mrhood): If Tyreke Evans doesn't regress, this team is a problem. But my goodness pick up a 13th dude. The Key: Bobby Portis.
7. Virgin Island Presidents (theo): Solid team. Dirk will be bad. Pau's minutes are going to be inconsistent. But Harden may be the MVP of Survivor this year. The Key: Paul Millsap.
8. Washington DC Brunchers (Basa): Killer Guards. Okay forwards. Questionable C's. Good enough for middle of the pack. The Key: Elfrid Payton.
9. Barcelona Yoshi (tjt): Great F's but those G's are meeeeh. Question marks abound. The Key: Deandre Ayton.
10. Coney Island Bad Boys (cenario): K-Love could be back to Minny K Love, but I just don't see it. The Key: Nikola Mirotic.
11. Houston Hardhead KDB (LABeat): Love the guards, and Capela is about to go wild, but I hate these forwards. Still, probably good for a playoff spot and if Melo actually contributes, this could be a good team. The Key: Kris Dunn.
12. Englewood GunViolence (dvs): I'd like to rank this team higher but Dinwiddle is about to regress big time. Also with Jimmy Butler's future in question - I don't see it. The Key: Larry Nance.
13. Waiters Isle Rappity Raps (DJR3): I like this team as like a bunch of OTHER pieces for good teams. Will probably be middle of the pack but outside of Draymond having a MONSTER game, there's nobody who can potentially drop a 90-100 on any given night. The Key: Brandon Ingram.
14. LA 2Many Napkins (TRBO): Lebron + a whole lot of nothing. But Bron is good enough to win you some games but wow some of these picks were baaaad. The Key: Luka Doncic (spoiler: rookies don't tend to win you Survivor)
15. Gonzo's Ghoulies (cgonz): I'd have ranked you (slightly) higher, but you're the one of the only squads to not pick up a 13th man. Dumb. The Key: D'Angelo Russell (good luck)
16. Northeast DC Contingencies (Magilla): DMC with the 8th pick. He's not playing until February, but you know...potential. Anyway, this team is bad. The Key: Demarcus Cousins becoming Wolverine

Shawn--Free Willy. Doesn't even need it though, with Rondo and Curio and Rubio and breakout Caris Levert (who I woulda taken instead of Nerlens and debated that trade until Rozier fell to me). Plus Giles looks like a solid pick.
Ernie: I accept it. Ernie's good at this. but remember when he was bad? Those were the good days.
Me--holy shit, Nerlens was a decent pick. whoa. Look, we all know my Fs will outscore your Fs w/ Giannis and Kawhi alone. My Cs will likely compete w/ yours. the question is will my many young guards combine into a functional G rotation. I, obviously, say yes.
Ryan--BOBAN! and he might get minutes. But...where...are...the...forwards? High injury risk w/ guards, but if it works out, russy just wins 20 games on his own anyway in .ws
Boogs--a classic boogs team, solid, reliable players. But with the twist of a couple unknowns who could vault him up if Lauri or Bagley or JJ do what people think they can. Kinda needs 2 of those 3 to do it. I think they do. probably could/should rate higher cuz boogs.
Theo: uhh...you only have 3 guards on your roster. better waiver wire like whoa. but once theo does get a 4th guard, potentially dominant.
Cenario--Bad team k-love? nice. Not sure Lowry performs as well with Kawhi as he did w/ Demar, but we'll see. How is JJ Barea good for this now?
LA--returning with that Houston love. Some really good guys but man, half of your forward minutes will be 1.0 or lower.
MrHood--a lot of risk of regression. but if they don't all regress, Embiid+Blake-injury = contender.
AB--I get the hype when you have 2 legit 1.6 FPPM high minutes guys. That's a ton of points. But then there's a lot of low minutes F and C (Monroe, Henson, and Zeller all might end up being DNP/15 minute guys and Diallo's in a minutes crunch) and "bounceback" Conley is at best likely a 1.1 (he's been 1.2 ONCE) and there are zero high upside guards. All goes well and it's a beast of team. but it could be a house of cards
basa--solid squad. y'all hated too much
DJR--after Kyrie, really hoping for some efficiency improvement from some gunners. I don't think it'll happen. Need Vuc to keep getting 30 minutes per game and after Draymond hoping for a F to emerge.
smurf--we waited that long...for this? and y'all say i have bad guards? you must all believe in Fultz's jumper like whoa.
ceej--praying Lonzo gets minutes, because the guards after him and booker are...oof. but Jokic can make up for some bad end of rotation minutes.
TRBO--yeah, UK, yeah rookies have trended up in the league. but 3 rookies and De'Aaron becoming efficient? too many risks, not enough coverage if too many don't succeed. Plus no big scoring C.
magilla--look, if he survives till Demarcus makes it he'll have a...slightly above average squad in January.
Gonzo--nope, I don't believe in fluke Trey Burke. And uhh...needs G minutes
DVS--it's become a theme, and not just cuz my Fs are beastly, but...yikes...those forwards tho. and none have upside. Will Shaq Harrison even see the floor? Will Trae Young be a Lonzo Ball stat stuffer or a usual rookie G? I lean toward useful but not useful enough

Ryan - This team is going to be pretty good on some nights when Boban plays. PG looks prime for a bounceback and Wessy will be the best player in the league when hes healthy. A long term Dwight injury would be a major blow though. PG is the key to this team being good and really good.

Shawn - I like my team as usual. My big ? marks re at C. I dont know ho wmany min Zaza and Willy will get. Neither are starting, so I may be holding 2 roster positions for 30 mpg. I have enough FC depth to cover it, but in my ideal world Willy plays 20 and Zaza 16.

TJT The Giannis, Kawhi, Ayton lineup is scary. This is probably our highest potential scoring team the nights the guards click. Will TJt be chasing a consistent guard in the lineup all season? If Dennis Smith breaks out, my early favorite

BA- I expect a huge year for Whiteside (last years Drummond year). That with CP3 will be enough to beat most teams in this league. If O’quinn, Richaun, and Faried do what ba expects then he may be the team to beat. If they do what i expect then BA stays here or worse. Chances are one of us is partly wrong and one is partly right so we end up in the middle somewhere which makes him dangerous but not elite

Theo - Will be in the chase because of Harden and a bounceback Bledsoe. Millsap and Pau are big keys, but I think this team will be dangerous. If one of his 3 guards gets hurts or misses games though...

Cenario - Slightly above average. I think Nurkic will be closer to 1.45. Lowry drops off, but Barea is still the perfect bench guard with Lin. Just not enough kick and big game potential, and I don’t see Love having a huge bounceback, but hes the key to this team.

Ernie - I expect a 1.5 type year for Gobert, but otherwise is this the year Ernie falls? He will make wire moves, so this isnt his final team, but I wonder about the G and F minutes here. Even with Ern’s long lasting strategy of keeping high minute placeholders like CJ and Tatum to cover his positions. Anyways Ernie is playing with house money in terms of his legacy here.

DJR - not a bad team with some upside if a guy like Ingram pops, otherwise the Gs are pretty average. In a tier of teams that can compete with the right moves.

Boogs- Like said many times, a solid Boogs team. If Allen can make a jump, he could be more dangerous. Wall and Oladi
AB - I hate AB teams. This one is no different and probably midpack, the nights AD isnt in Game genie mode. Enes and AD will be a problem most nights, but Monroe, Dialli, and Henson, meh. Kemba and Conley, meh. If Conley is good, this team becomes good instead of average.

Ceej- I think Ceej can make some noise this year if Devin Booker makes that leap with ballhandling duties. After Mo bamba, the roster falls off a lot though.

Smurf- Drummond comes back down this year after his assists drop. LMA goes up. He needs a lot from Markelle and Lance, Clarkson, and Sexton. He may end up chasing consistent G minutes like TJt, but worse.

LABeat - So dependent on Melo having an efficient year, and even then, not huge upside.. Capela, Trez, Dame, and Dunn will be ok after that, Im not really sure.

Gonzo- Now w eknow last year’s rookie year was a flude due to Drummond’s big year. Deandre, KD, and D’Angelo will be dependable, I think Ish will go up, but after that waaaaay too many question marks and such an early grab at KP when he may not even play this year.

DVS - Like a lot of guys who aren’t good at WS, just not enough depth. I love KAT, Nance, Jimmy, and I think Spencer will be fine still in limited minutes. I think Trae and Wade are good bench guys, but the F’s will depend heavily on a Joe Ingles breakout.

RBO - Bron + a bunch of random guys. Luka and Shai will be ok som enights, maybe more so in real life than WS. WCS as your lead C? Hmm

Magilla - the guards will be okay, but otherwise,those C and F minutes may be tough to fill. I really think magilla is trolling us with his first picks every year at this point.

Oakland - What happens on nights Joel doesnt play? Tyspn may not even get minutes. Without some roster moves this could just be a minutes disaster
