The Dome is the perfect setting to run his offense, and Syracuse brings none of the irrational expectations and pressure that the football factory schools bring.

NC State has looked good so far this year.

Their big game against WVU was postponed due to Florence so they really haven’t played anyone yet.

I've yet to see Cal play this year

If first half Oregon and Herbert show up we will lose. Second half Oregon shows up and Cal wins.

That being said I think it will be a close game. We switched QBs this season and are starting a RS freshman Chase Garbers at QB and we have a dual threat QB going with South Carolina transfer Brandon McIlwain coming in as a running QB, so we will see both of them on the field. Our offense is limited and we lack any big playmakers at WR or RB.

Wilcox and DeRuyter have really turned our defense around and made it a strength. Our secondary has a lot of playmakers and speed.

I’m cautiously optimistic we win tonight.

Clemson’s 3rd string QB came up with a huge 4th and 6 pass completion.

The illegal man downfield penalty that took away Syracuse’s jump pass 4th down conversion was a killer. That kid is a 5th year senior and married to Babers’ daughter too. Family dinners might be awkward for years over that one. I think Cuse wins if that penalty doesn’t happen.

If Syracuse doesn’t get that penalty they more than likely win the game.

Especially when Clemson had 1st and goal.

Your team is ranked 3rd in the nation, act like you’re the favorite.

You just beat an unranked Syracuse team at home, not Bama.

it actually stopped being interesting once NW's play script ended

i dont know what the deal is but UM has been getting hammered by scripted plays every week except NEB. then once that ends Michigan's defense chokes them out. i knew 17 wasnt gonna cut it.

I mean, my whole family are HARDCORE Huskers as my grandparents and ancestors even further extended are all from Lincoln.

My mother was born in Lincoln. All my aunts and uncles too.

Thus, I have Nebraska in my blood and growing up Washington and Nebraska were the two teams I cared about.

I've watched from afar as things have dipped...and dipped...and dipped, and I'm not watching closely enough to understand why. I just see the scores.

I mean, I guess it happened at UW too but I was paying attention the whole time so it made sense.

Nebraska of all places. Just seems crazy. Maybe there's no coming back from losing truly legendary coaches? I mean, right now my beloved Manchester United are dealing with something similar in regards to "replacing" Sir Alex Ferguson. Tom Osborne was definitely the Sir Alex of 90's college football.

Dwayne Haskins started 5-14 for 31 yards and an INT.

From that point on he went 17-25 for 239 yards with 3 TD & 0 INT.

In the second half he was 15-23 for 208 with 2 TD's...and on the last 2 drives he was 6-8, 133 yards with 2 TD's.

that place is a fucking nightmare to get a victory

At least in the NFL when a coach makes a bonehead call everyone more or less gets over it in time for next week

But the playcall at the end of the game there, when McSorley has gashed them NONSTOP all night, is really just inexcusable. Never mind that McSorley didn’t even have the ball, just the amount of time alone it takes for that play to fire off should’ve made it a nonstarter in that situation.

I’m so sorry for those kids and fans. The grownups thought they knew better, and it cost them a chance at a national championship. I’d be sick this morning if I were a Penn State fan.

We’re just better than them, and we found a way to fuck it up.

the countless amount of big plays, penalties, injuries, etc...the millions of other possible excuses and breaks good and bad for both teams...we'll just throw that out the window and play fantasyland and pretend that the outcome of the game was solely relegated to calling X play instead of X,Y, or Z play. and then let's also conveniently forget that if PSU got a first down on XYZ play that they'd still have to continue to march down the field and score with a below average kicker.

both teams played their asses off in an incredible game in what is bar none the best environment in college football. both teams deserve a ton of respect. that atmosphere deserves a ton of respect. but classless PSU fans are as classless in defeat as they are in victory. good game, guys. see ya next year.

b) there's about 12 yards right of the line of scrimmage that were wide open...reason to believe McSorley could've gotten them 5 with his legs

You want to talk about coaching failures? That Ohio State at no point adjusted their front to hinder McSorley's mobility was unbelievable. McSorley isn't the athlete Manziel or Tebow were...he's not winging it and lucking out, he's taking the opportunities that are there (and they were there in abundance last night)

He was mad disrespectful to PITT after they blew us out last year because PITT beat them the previous year. Even tho a really really really small part of me roots for Penn State because I’m from PA, I don’t feel bad for them when they lose in epic fashion.
