He kicked his fiancé and his two under-5 children out of his house so he could fuck a Jenner. His annual income is 35 mil— and she’s getting 750k per kid after taxes. He should be very thankful the judge isn’t making him cough up more.

In response to Reply # 14

Because if you don't think there should be then that means you think someone who made $10 billion a year should have to give $1 billion to a woman who bore his kid(s) for "child support" if we are going by percentage of income. This would clearly be insane. I would think something like $250k/year is an amount of money you could raise two kids on anywhere in the country.

21. "Texas has a cap:"
In response to Reply # 20

The new $8,550 cap that was implemented in 2013 was to remain in effect for six years, which means that, for high-income obligors, Texas’ cap on net resources for determining child support in 2016 is $8,550 (and will remain so until 2019). To reiterate, that is not the maximum monthly payment amount, merely the maximum amount from which percentages may be determined, based on number of children, for high earners.
Here is how maximum monthly child support payments in Texas in 2016 would break down after the 2013 increase for high earners, based on how many children there are in your family:
1 child (20%) = $1,710 per month
2 children (25%) = $2,137.50 per month
3 children (30%) = $2,565 per month
4 children (35%) = $2,992.50 per month
5 children (40%) = $3,420 per month
6 or more children (at least 40%) = at least $3,420 per month

She'd be getting $2k/month if this happened in Houston! (Which is absurd in the other direction)

if there's no cap on income and wealth, why should child support be capped?

This seems unlikely to drive blake into the poorhouse, and when he's not making 35 mill a year anymore, he can restructure it.

So if I somehow dated, I dunno, Taylor Swift, and we had a kid, you think I'd be entitled to 10-20% of her earnings? Say she made $150 million that year, I need $15-30 million to support the kid if I had custody? I'd feel like a shit person for even asking for that.

Seems bizarre that anyone who hooks up with someone obscenely rich should also be entitled to be rich because they have a child together. Not talking ex-wives/husbands or partners that helped build the fortune, but people who met them when they already had money.

If your issue is proving that the child is benefiting from the funds, I get it. If your point is simply the $ amoumt...I dont.

costs can add up if we talk about how much rich people spend on their kids, of course. But at some point, there has to be a threshold on what it takes to raise an affluent kid, or for the kid to have a good life. Doesn't cost $3 million/year!

I'm for all intensive purposes(lexicon) a socialist but this is an odd redistribution of wealth to me. Enough people agree with me that in quite a few states there is, indeed, a cap.

On a side note and nothing to do with the legal issues, it's been proven to be a bad idea to splurge on your kids in these ways anyway.

If it's that hazardous to the development of a child to be around that kind of money, it makes a lot more sense to make sure that kind of wealth can't exist then to just say "he can keep it, just make sure it's not going towards your kid."

If we're not doing that, then why does there need to be a cap?

except when you oppose the redistribution of less than 50% of the annual *income* (not even wealth) of someone in the top ~0.01% of earners to the co-parent of their own child?

Do I have that right?

Significant chunk?

My kids live with me and I’m still married and they aren’t getting a significant chunk right now outside of daycare.

They get my time tho... all of it outside of work hours and sleep.

But it’s silly to act like no number is too much for child support. Folks have to be reasonable about this discussion and not miserly or Santa Claus.

TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*

no personal attack on you.

I know some of these dudes had kids off jump offs and one night stands, but many of them were in real relationships with women (regardless of who you think they are and what industry you work in). Like they had a caring/loving relationship to some degree and had a kid together. Yea, they make a shitload of money, but you make a decision to have and raise a kid, I dont see why people would be opposed to sharing their income and resources to raise that child and make sure the child's mother can live the lifestyle she had when y'all were making a life together.

they were in an 8-year relationship. the "strap up" comments, in this case, imply she was just a ho or something...

The larger point is if you don’t wanna pay for the kids, don’t have the kids.

I’ve known plenty of people in long term committed relationships who had an accident - don’t mean to characterize his relationship as a one night thing. But it’s truly not that hard to avoid having kids if you don’t want them - and if you DO, then paying for them shouldn’t be an issue. That’s my point.

This is probably a little less, but still sufficient.

I mean he had TWO kids with her, this was a damn relationship, not a reckless bust-off.

No, Blake Griffin is NOT paying $258k per month in child support -- he's only paying a fraction of that ... TMZ Sports has learned.

As we previously reported, the $258k figure that's being reported is wrong -- but sources tell us the NBA star is still cutting a significant check to Brynn Cameron, the mother of his 2 kids.

The number, we're told, is $32,000 per month ... which adds up to $384,000 per year.

It's no sweat for Blake, who recently signed a 5-year, $171 million contract.

As for Blake and Brynn -- we're told the two are on much better terms now and are each committed to co-parenting their children.

I really don’t have an issue as long as it’s reasonable. 2 kids won’t suffer if they get 385K a year unless the mother is spending it on booty shots and new niggas

TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*
