The second kinda positioned himself so we couldn't help but know, but it wasn't going to change how we decorated their room (green paint), or really raise them tbf.
I can understand from a woman's perspective why, since they go through the whole physical act of carrying the baby and/or babies for nine months and want to celebrate anything pertaining to the act.
Perhaps I have my single man status blinders on, but I personally don't see why you'd want to share a gender reveal party outside of those that are absolutely kin or blood related to the baby. Then again, I'm a private dude in general, so that probably has something to do with that as well.
I haven't clicked on the original link yet, but broadcasting this across social media just ups the level of insanity to me.

so it was a chance for them to feel involved in the pregnancy, since they weren't able to see my wife for most of it. Extended family too.
We found out right around Christmas, so we had a reveal cake made, and brought it to the extended family christmas eve dinner, so that everyone could find out together.

showed me the video of the reveal party for his 4th (yes, FOURTH) daughter. When he cut the cake open and everyone saw that it was a girl, his dad got up, threw his hands up and walked ALL the way away. LOL. He knew it was a wrap for having a grandson.

he has two girls and his wife is pregnant. she did kind of an interesting thing where she got some balloon type things and filled them with gender-appropriate powder, then she and my friend pitched the balls to the two girls (he is a baseball coach and played college baseball). they made good contact, BANG, pink explosion. he played it off but i could tell he was a little disappointed. both girls are good softball players though and i am sure he will get the little one out there as well.
