And yeah, you could use lance as balance in a kawhi trade, assuming San Antonio will wait that long to trade him. They won’t, but whatever.
My biggest problem with the lance move is that it’s now a great market for buyers. You could have gotten guys that could help you out a lot more than washed up, crazy ass lance. Hell, you could’ve gotten nerlens for 4.5. Let him play for a couple months as roll man for Bron and somebody might view him as a plus in a trade, not just filler.
Meanwhile you’ve got a noted Bron antagonist who’s going to bitch constantly if Luke rightly plays the kids over him.

the theory is that they signed 'Vale, CP & Lance in the event that they do trade some of their young guns (Julius, Ingram, Ball) for Kawhi. Not hard to figure out. I think that Kawhi is coming anyway - but there is incentive to get him to L.A. right now.
