Why all of a sudden is D12 being pushed in the media (ESPN actually)?

Des he have a book, movie, or something or is this just a general "image buff up" kinda thing? is he up for free agency and trying to get one more decent payday before he hits journeyman status?

yesterday he was on ESPN with Wiley, ,and whoever the 3rd wheel is doing a really bad job of explaining how he never did anything wrong and is totally misunderstood and all his troubles with the lakers boiled down to miscommunication

then today I see this (trying to explain away how he played himself with SVG)

it's great for twitter, but i think most people can understand why no prominent male athlete in one of the four majors would out themselves.
