"Look for Adam Silver to put the kibosh on blatant ring-chasing"

"best interest of the game" bout to be used a few times this summer if these dudes try anything blatant.

and it actually IS bad for the game to have dudes loaded up teams while everyone else has to build and develop talent to pursue titles.

enough.

in the legacy discussions?

I mean, they can't all sit in one city and wait on management to make good moves to add the right talent around an all time player right?

I mean, sometimes you gotta take the Bull by the horns right? *snicker*

we know who the best teams are at the start of the season.

everyone else is playing to figure out how to get there in 3-5 years

or they're playing to position themselves to be an attractive spot for FAs

or they're just playing to sell tickets and merch.

Everyone else is playing catch up.

Houston almost got there...but nobody outside Texas had then on the same level going into the year.

If we are lucky, Boston gets there.

1) bron goes to houston. you're straight.

2) bron builds a super team in LA around playoff p and kawhi/cp3, in which case your guy is being sent to siberia.

3) bron decides to counter 4 with 4 and gets one of the other three to join him in philly.

but you already know this, of course. that's why you made the post.

a perfect stylistic and personality fit

it was a very specific confluence of events that we'll almost certainly never see again. there's nothing there to legislate.

to sign their respective extensions the two previous seasons.

Oh, and it also took Barnes and Ezeli turn down the extensions that Warriors offered them before the '15-'16 season started.

aside their egos.

ppl kill me with this shit.

3 of the dubs all stars were completely home grown and complementary. if kd didn't go there, he would have gone somewhere else.

arguably kevin love joining 'bron and kyrie (for as much as ppl had gassed him up when he was w/ the wolves -- i never bought that) was egregious. those were 3 players in their prime who would ALL have been the best player on most NBA teams.

kd and steph fit that bill, but klay, good as he is, is complementary. he FAR from a lead dog. and dray is a maxxed out (in the best possible way) role player who does all the shit needed to keep an allstar squad running.

peace & blessings,

Last time they re-did the CBA, they added all sorts of incentives for teams to keep the players that they drafted. If players want to take less money so that they can leave, they can't force them not to.

>folx can be as mad as they want, but like jb smoove told tim
>meadows: shit is over, dogg. move on. barack ubama,

Players that complain about KD leaving are the most funny. They wanted the cap huge cap boost all in one off season (don't blame them) and they got it. Don't be mad when someone like KD takes advantage of it.

That's really the most counter-intuitive and magical
part of the entire Golden State situation.

Not only that Jackson drafted him, but that Jackson
pretty much sacrificed his relationship with the front
office to give Draymond minutes over David Lee and
Harrison Barnes (the front office loved both; Jackson
hated both. Jackson was right).

It's hilarious how Jackson is referred to as this low
IQ old school guy, when Jackson was the one who was
giving Draymond those minutes, was cultivating his
playmaking even. (This is specifically the most futuristic
aspect of the Dubs...it's all Jackson)

If these ring chasers went to big market/historical franchises like the LAL or NYK

I don't think there would be this much pushback

Also, you can't convince me that Bron isn't in contention no matter where he goes

So this is kinda stupid

what if lebron wants to take a pay cut to play w/ the rockets? is adam silver going to say no? imagine if a super core somehow decides to take pay cuts to play in one of the 2 large markets (LA, NY), no way the league is going to do anything there.

and it actually IS bad for the world to have nations loaded up
on nukes while everyone else has to build and develop rudimentary military tech in order to keep up.

nevermind that some nations were able to stockpile in unfair fashion - let's just let them win and hoard power while they're ahead and freeze everyone else's chances to compete, ensuring the status quo remains unchanged.

enough.

defying the trend of declining ratings that affects every other major sport and basically tv in general. so the nba will keep commanding a higher price tag for these broadcast rights deals and flooding the league with more money.

superteams might be bad for the league. but they damn sure aint bad for viewer interest in the league.

so adam silver aint tryna change shit. teams with no stars and low attendance and/or ticket prices might be salty tho.

I hope it's in Cleveland.

KD
Love
Bron
CSexton

Pay for a late first from some team, get the right free agents, and get Bron to his ninth consecutive Finals.

That or join the Celtics/Philly. Either way we have to get Bron more help so hopefully Silver lets Bron get his help before retiring.
