Called 911 3x because “I wanted to be extra. I wanted him to go down. I was pissed”

Reuben Foster’s ex-girlfriend Elissa Ennis testifies:
“It was all a money scheme. I didn’t want to get this far in the news. It was about money.”
She fled home to Louisiana after Foster arrested 2/11 and she took with her Foster’s money and jewelry which is in a safe deposit box

While Ennis testified amid tears about breakup — “I was lying about lot of stuff” — Reuben Foster sat in chair between his attorney and detective. Reuben had left hand on his chin, right hand on pen tapping notepad and right leg tapping floor under desk.
She never spoke to 49ers.

but when it comes to NFL players and their girlfriends or SO's. You really have to wait regardless of the accusations.

There is too much money involved.

Too much to lose for folks to automatically believe an accusation.

I would love to believe folks would never lie about this stuff but that money is a mutha

****************
TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*

Either way, a single accusation shouldn't be enough to seriously derail someone's career.

But multiple accusations, from the same person or different people, are legitimately worth re-evaluating the person.

...to the police. This time she said all of this during a hearing, presumably under oath.

This whole thing is just messy and sad. Plus, given the occurrences of women in abusive relationships recanting domestic violence charges, only to have their spouse/boyfriend/whoever go right back to abusing her, I honestly don't know what to think.

Or asking for the sake of conversation. Ray Donovan or Olivia Pope probably jumped in to help pipe this down.

I usually don't even follow stories like this one because there are tons of layers to them all. I've got too many women in my life to not be sensitive to the issue of domestic violence. Men and women fighting on each other is dumb to me.

But I do know that people will do what they can to get out of hot water while others will do what they can to exploit another for personal gain.

Again though, I was just positing this for the sake of conversation; not to accuse or judge either party. That's not my place.

And I don't care what color you are. And I am just as
"sensitive to domestic violence" as you are. I know victims
just as you do.

What you said was a plea cop for being racist.

The woman openly said she was lying, the paper trail
of her lying and gaining from it is clear, and you're
still cooking up "possibilities' for why a perfectly
innocent black man "might" still be guilty.

That is exactly how racism in the justice system works.

That is exactly how Trayvon's killer walks away free. Why?
Because Trayvon, despite the facts telling us exactly what
happened, "might have" been a threat.

It's racist.

I mean that.

Logic like yours is awful and dangerous. And the fact
that you're couching it under "I'm just making conversation"
is the real problem.

Don't care what race you are, but you prolly unconsciously
hate black people. (if you black, that makes it worse)

This "even though the evidence says he's not guilty, he MIGHT
have still done it because of excuse X, Y, Z" is one of the
most pervasive symptoms of the broken ass criminal justice
system. It's been well-documented, and it isn't my opinion.

You JUST did it:

The evidence was laid out for you as to exactly how
a black man was completely innocent. You IMMEDIATELY
invoked "B-B-B-But he still coulda done it!"

That is racist. Sorry.

But you fucked up, because while you don't KNOW either party,
you do KNOW that the girl admitted to lying. You do KNOW
that there is a direct paper trail as to how she benefited
from the lying and manipulation.

Instead of just reading and digesting the facts, you copped
pleas for the black man still possibly being guilty.

go release your tension elsewhere because I'm not with the shits and never have been.

For all the bullshit conversation that happens around here and that you're involved in, you got some nerve to type and seemingly believe in the shit you're typing.

But play on, playa! You got it all right (in your mind).

RE: Love is love, but I'm not gonna let it slide. Not in 2018.

I meant no disrespect towards the Black man. Shit! It could have been anyone.

And as I mentioned in a question to someone else, I know people who have been in both positions. I know dudes who have had their whole shit blown up over a lie and I know dudes who have actually done what they were accused of but paid the victim off so there would be no disruption to their situation.

In any event, I get your point. And let it be known that my intent was not offend anyone either.

She admits to making it up.
There's video of her fighting another woman to get the bruises.
Yet it's possible the dastardly darkie paid her off, lol.

Wild, right?

The 49ers said they'd wait the process out and were getting DESTROYED in the media and court of public opinion for it. Can you imagine if they had released him and then this shit came out. This is why this #metoo stuff can get out of hand too because everyone is just poo poo-ing the due process that is a right for everyone in these situations on both sides. There is the burden of power and I get that but we can't be unfair about it and not acknowledge that lives can get ruined on both sides if things are not looked at properly.

a lack of evidence. in fact, the judge seemed to point to a bunch of things that were evidence against foster's girl.

-the bruises she had were most consistent w/ the fight she had earlier that day in a traffic incident than one would get from an NFL linebacker "punching her in the head 10 times" and dragging her down the stairs.

-i didn't realize this but the traffic fight was caught on camera.

-the witness who saw her calling for police corrected the judge/lawyer when they said that the girl was in distress. he went out of his way to say that she was actually pretty calm. this was also echo'd by the cops that went to the house.

-she had previously falsely accused a different ex of domestic abuse.

-there was no evidence to the fact that he threw her dog across the room. police said when they got there, she and the dog were pretty calm.

IN THIS POST, with a bunch of DUDES who like RAP and are
at least somewhat race conscious (essentially the group
you're as likely to find people who are willing to
believe that Foster might be innocent) there are people
who are STILL cooking up scenarios AFTER THE FACTS CAME
OUT THAT PROVE THAT HE'S UNQUESTIONABLY THE VICTIM.

The process didn't "PLAY OUT"

He was victimized by a pathological liar

Same woman in all three cases. Cops were called in response to a loud argument between the two at his apartment in Santa Clara. It was over "material that she found on his cell phone." There were no signs of injury and no arrests were made. The Niners say that they weren't aware of it.

Reuben Foster’s ex-girlfriend now says she was lying when she recanted previous allegation
Posted by Michael David Smith on December 6, 2018, 8:27 AM EST

The ex-girlfriend of Reuben Foster, who told police he attacked her in February, then testified under oath that she had lied to the police at that time, now says it was actually on the witness stand that she was lying and the original story she told to the police was the truth.

Elissa Ennis said on Good Morning America that she was lying in court when she said Foster never struck her.

“I was not telling the truth. I was not telling the truth,” Ennis said.

Ennis said she lied under oath because she loved Foster and didn’t want to end his NFL career.

“I did what I had to do for the person I loved. I thought he would change. Anybody in my position would do the same,” Ennis said.

So what actually happened between the two of them in February? She now says her account to the police was accurate.

“He dragged me down the stairs two or three times, he punched me in my face two or three times, pulled my hair, kicked me, spit on me,” Ennis said.

The 49ers cut Foster when he was again arrested for domestic violence against Ennis, this time in the team hotel. Ennis is now accusing the 49ers of trying to interfere with the police investigation.

“The 49ers came up there. I have pictures of the 49ers coming up there talking to police, saying I’m the same ex-girlfriend who sat up there and lied,” Ennis said.

Ennis also said she was shocked Foster was claimed on waivers by Washington.

“I can’t believe somebody picked him up,” Ennis said.

Foster is currently under contract and getting paid by Washington, but he is not eligible to play because he is on the Commissioner Exempt list.

80. "Battered Woman Syndrome: Elissa exhibited some of the traits..."
In response to Reply # 61
Fri Dec-07-18 10:20 AM by Creole

It seems very plausible that she would have lied to keep him out of trouble. I don't think it makes her a terrible person at all. I don't think Reuben is a terrible person either. Dude may be, as many of us are, flawed and in need of some serious help but I can't agree that he's terrible.

I'm no lawyer but I learned about BWS in a high school law class that i took. I was assigned the role of the defense attorney who had to defend a woman who killed her husband after years of abuse. My defense was to be based on this syndrome.

In the end, I'm hopeful that the two of them receive the help and treatment they need to help keep them out of situations like this in the future.

https://www.healthline.com/health/battered-woman-syndrome#how-it-develops

How does it develop?
Battered woman syndrome is caused by sustained and serious domestic abuse.

Domestic abuse typically follows an extremely predictable cycle, as follows:

The abuser will win over the new partner, often moving quickly into a relationship with tactics like “love-bombing,” grand romantic gestures, and pressuring for commitment early.
The abuser will be emotionally or physically abusive. This often starts small, like a slap instead of a punch, or punching the wall next to their partner.
The abuser will feel guilty, swearing they’ll never do it again, and be overtly romantic to win their partner over.
There will be a temporary “honeymoon” period, where the abuser is on their best behavior, luring their partner into thinking that they’re safe and things really will be different.
Abuse occurs, starting the cycle all over again.
Women become trapped in abusive relationships for many reasons, which can include:

financial dependence on the abuser, which is often manufactured by the abuser
wanting to have a complete family unit for their children’s sake
being afraid to leave
disbelief or denial that the partner is actually abusive
severe depression or low self-esteem that makes them think the abuse is their fault
believing that if the abuser loves them, it’s okay, and they can change the behavior
As a woman becomes trapped in the cycle of abuse, battered woman syndrome can develop. This syndrome makes it difficult for women to regain control.

Short-term and long-term side effects
Several serious side effects are associated with battered woman syndrome.

Short-term side effects that may be seen immediately include:

depression
lowered self-esteem
damaged relationships with friends and family
severe anxiety
feeling worthless or hopeless
feeling like they have no control
Research has shown that battered woman syndrome and domestic abuse can result in long-term health consequences that can last for decades. Long-term effects can include:

PTSD-like symptoms, including flashbacks, dissociative states, and violent outbursts against the abuser
health issues caused by stress, such as high blood pressure and associated cardiac problems
health issues from the physical abuse, such as damaged joints or arthritis
chronic back pain or headaches
increased risk of developing diabetes, asthma, depression, and immune dysfunction due to long-term stress

81. "Domestic violence charge against Reuben Foster is dropped..."

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/25675779/domestic-violence-charge-reuben-foster-washington-redskins-dropped

ESPN

The State Attorney's Office in Florida has dropped a misdemeanor domestic violence charge against Washington Redskins linebacker Reuben Foster, according to Hillsborough County court records.

The charge stemmed from a Nov. 24 incident between Foster and his former girlfriend the night before his former team, the San Francisco 49ers, played the Buccaneers in Tampa.

Foster had been scheduled for arraignment Thursday in Hillsborough County.

Ed Suarez, an attorney for Foster, declined comment to ESPN.

Foster was released by San Francisco in late November and claimed on waivers by Washington just three days after being arrested. The team received heavy criticism for picking up Foster. He remains on the commissioner's exempt list.

Tampa police said Foster and the woman were involved in a verbal altercation and that "Foster slapped her phone out of her hand, pushed her in the chest area, and slapped her with an open hand on the left side of her face." Police said a 1-inch scratch was observed on the woman's left collarbone.

According to the arrest report, the woman pressing charges was Elissa Ennis, with whom Foster has been involved off and on for three years. Ellis discussed the incident during a December interview with "Good Morning America."
