Germany or Spain winning would not really put a player forward (though perhaps Ramos would have a decent claim). Similarly if Brazil get it I'm not sure Ney-ney would be a shoo-in, considering his PSG production.

Ronaldo a total ghost? No matter, Benzema plays his best game in years. Zidane whiffs on selecting Vazquez i/o Casemiro. Ramos not up to par? Varane steps up. Oh and Navas, who gets unbelievable shit on the regular in Madrid (Bein showed a video of some team event this weekend where he gets dissed by fans and Flo Perez defends him with the absolute bare minimum), was easily MOTM today.

They just have a collective wherewithal that is unmatchable. Bayern was arguably the better team over the 2 games, yet Real never seem to panic or get too angry, almost like they believe the other team is gonna slip up and give them that half-inch they need. And somehow, they do.

I'm 120% hoping their run ends with a loss on May 26, but it's impossible not to respect what they're doing.
