Even if they did magically gel on the fly - there's not enough talent on the floor.

Almost better if they lose early to give Bron a break after 7 years of absurd mileage. He's rebooting to his final act - and it's unlikely that it's with Cleveland.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

Lebron has to stop waiting for others to get involved.

He’ll probably come out in game 4 and drop 50 and get a W but I don’t know how long he can sustain that at this point.

Indy has scored 98, 97 and 92 and they’re up 2-1. This Cavs team was putting up 120s for good stretches late in the season.

No reason the supporting cast is this bad.

It seemed like K Love stepped up and he only had 19 points. That’s not gonna cut it as a number 2.

JR and Korver combined for 8 as starters in the NBA.

And these young dudes ain’t ready. Hood is terrible, Clarkson is worthless and Nance has energy but skill set is low.

and he is losing his matchup vs Bojan fucking Bogdanovich

his strategy of standing under his own basket while Bojan was 60 feet away hitting an open 3 seemed particularly ineffective

but truth be told if the Cavs stopping turning the ball over and hit a few more 3s they're up 2-1. They're just not good enough to jump out on a team and bury them. No super team advantage this year..

Not only are his defensive stats way, way way better
than Harden's, they aren't even close to low. His defense
is "fine" at least, and likely far, far better than that.

I feel like before they were better built for the postseason. In the playoffs when the games slow down you need people that can create their own shot and they had people like that with Wade, IT & even Rose to a certain extent. With the current team it’s on Bron yo create for everybody.

LeBron has played well (as he always does) - but not perfect - and he kinda has to be perfect for them to win right now.

The team is better than they've showed - but not much better. And it's just too much of an ask to ask these guys (with zero playoff experience) to somehow be poised and dynamic in playoff atmosphere moments with the spotlight right on you. Clarkson and Hood in particular have been playing unbelievably bad (if they could just play average Cavs would be up 2-1).

Not enough firepower.

All I said was that Wade has never made it out the 2nd round w/ out Shaq or LeBron (and after Shaq left in Miami he was in his prime prior to Bron's arrival).

It is what it is.

hence, the conundrum.

but are full of excuses. It's always revealing to observe who we make excuses for - versus those for whom we do not tolerate nuanced analysis.

Here - you're making excuses - implying that Wade (in his prime) just 2 years removed from his Finals MVP run with a championship team - had such an incompetent team around him that even in his prime he couldn't make a deep playoff run.

That's rich - considering you've never even acknowledged that LeBron has played with trash teams - yet has always made deep playoff runs. You haven't an ounce of nuance when assessing Bron right now - in his 15th season (after going to 7 straight Finals) - with a team-core that's been together for 2-3 months and a roster that has shapeshifted more in one season than any other roster in the past decade.

Wade in his prime? Didn't have enough around him.

Bron in year 15 w/ the worst complementary team of any superstar in the game? Win or else!

You're not very good at this - but you are smarter than this. At least be intellectually honest and just say: "look - i don't fuck w/ Bron. He gutted my Bulls so many times that I can't think right -- i'm basically Joakim Noah on a keyboard. I was one of those who partied and lusted for D. Rose to dethrone Bron but it didn't happen. I'm bitter AF."

He legit might trip on it.

The cavs roster is not nearly as bad as you make
it, plus dudes were straight partying off the midseason
moves.

You cant claim goat or top 2-3 or whatever you claim,
and not expect him to make it out of this awful, and
injured, conference.

It just cant be both ways if youre being real.

Look, your boy is top 10 easy, 7 probably, but
if he cant get out of the east, let alone round 1,
he should get fried.

Now, hes not alone. Lue should get fried too,
but Bron is not immune.

Only teams in the east cavs should have been
worried about were a healthy celtics (thats dead)
and a grown up raptors (pretty clear thats never going
to happen those dudes shrink in the spotlight)

The second Ky went down it should have been
a wrap.

Please stop trying to lie on this situation.

Because it ain't just shot form.

It's how both guys make really, really good decisions
with the ball.

(Gotta remember, though: Lebron was in his 3rd season
at this point, was already a legit superstar)

Bron was more active overall, and a much better scorer.

Simmons a better rebounder. And might be as good a
passer (which is really quite scary)

The would be help defenders are completely glued to their man when he touches the ball on the perimeter....and he just keeps doing the “take 1 dribble that nobody reacts to and throw the ball right to them” thing.

But great players can overcome bad coaching imo

Great coaches can put average players in position to overachieve.

But when you have great players...they make shit happen regardless.

I just don’t think Russ should be let off the hook by blaming the coach. For all his triple doubles, he makes poor decisions in big spots and controls the ball so much he minimizes his teammates.

the leading assist duo in the league. Carmelo set a career mark for most 3 pointers made, this season. PG had his best 3 point shooting season of his career. All these things happened WHILE Russ averaged a triple double for the season. He's definitely not a perfect player, but all the misinformation and trash narratives people parrot is dumb.

If you get to use that one mark for your proof that Russ doesn’t minimize his teammates then I’ll just add in that Melo scored about 7 points per game less and PG scored about 2 points per game less.

Stats are frivolous. Watch the games. Russ will never win shit because of the way he plays.

Of course their 3s went up. All they do is stand outside and wait to see if Russ passes them the ball.

its one of those weird stats that sounds great, but when you break it down it disqualifies alot of players/situations.

If it was most assists in any 4 game stretch of the playoffs, it would be a more telling stat.
