How would an owner so famously devoted to the minutiae of the way his team was covered that he revoked ESPN.com’s credentials to make a statement about the perils of automated game stories not know that his team’s own full-time beat writer — one who, as Luther and Wertheim note, first got a freelance look from the team by cold-emailing Cuban, and was bumped up to full-time only after another direct conversation with the owner — was prevented by his assault record from traveling to Canada to cover road games against the Toronto Raptors? How would an owner whose attention to detail drills down to the specific selection and broadcast of replays not be aware that one of the organization’s public-facing employees was arrested at the Mavericks’ facility, and was then presented with a contract specifically forbidding that employee from having one-on-one contact with female colleagues? If Cuban was completely siloed from Sneed’s arrest, subsequent incidents, contract and “counseling,” then why the thanks to Cuban for “facilitating growth” in the years since the incidents?

Dude insists being at games dressed like a normal fan, but somehow never had a culture where employees could talk to him about serious and sensitive issues? Would be interested to know whether any of the harassed females ever went to him and his reaction (obviously not a positive one).

Yes, he delegates a lot of the financial ops to his CEO and if it was a few problems then there's a chance that it never got back to him...but considering it was rampant and on multiple levels, there's no way he didn't know.

That's .25% of his net worth. I've donated a higher percentage of my net worth to Facebook birthday charities.
Not to mention we all know it's gonna be a tax write-off anyway.
I don't know what the "right amount" to donate is when you get caught overseeing some bullshit... but it's more than .25%. If he donated, like, between 100+ million? Maybe I'd be more inclined to think he's taking this shit seriously.
I'm not sure I know where the scale tips to even between "he's just a billionaire tossing money at a problem" and "that's enough money helping a good cause and enough of a hit to him that he's not just bullshitting." I reckon that number varies from person to person. But it's definitely more than .25%. Way more.
