those two together were a real cheat code.
I love how the two of them kind of talk about the differences in work ethic. Kobe couldn't allow himself to fall off, Shaq was like, "shit, I got Kobe, I can chill" LMAO

I was still too young in the early 2000βs to read between the lines or understand context but now going back to it via my current lens and in retrospect...what a saga. So many good moments and tidbits.

i expected. I enjoyed it. I'm a forever skeptic so i don't know if it was all 'real' but it was realer than i anticipated.

The mooning of the Sac fans and some other shit made me laugh. They sort of yaddah yaddah yaddah'ed the funk between them and focused on the positive. That's fine, but it's not "real"
And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

Come on. Both guys have mellowed as they got older. We saw this in the latter stages of Kobe's playing days as he became less withdrawn and more engaging on social media. I preferred how Young Kobe played but man do I love Old Man Kobe's personality way, way more.
This interview was like the picture perfect example of two old friends who had beef, squashed it then reminisced years later. In front of the cameras, sure, but they've both lived in front of the camera almost their entire lives.
And even with all the buddy buddy stuff you saw the moments that were sore points throughout those years: Shaq showing up of shape, Shaq's fourth, Kobe's fifth. But both are far enough detached from their playing days to not *care* as much anymore. Neither guy needs to get a leg up on the other anymore, they're not competing over anything.

it is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. - sherlock holmes

1. Who is "we"?
2. Are you that insecure about Brown's status that you need to insert whatever argument someone else made in some other post to any and all discussion of any accomplishment that can be used to bolster a Brawn For GOAT argument? Because it's clear who you're talking about.
3. Appearances absolutely count. And once you get there, that W/L record likewise mattersπ
