With Curry as the other captain the draft pool is:

Irving
DeRozan
Embiid
Giannis
Harden
Durant
Boogie
Davis

If I'm LeBron I go with Durant. He's obviously the best player there and you get to separate him and Curry. Then, depending on who Curry picks, I'm going Giannis or Davis in the 2nd round.

He'll half do it for the obvious matchup against Curry, and he'll half do it because he knows it'll inspire a million media pieces in which he's the benevolent former teammate who forgives Irving for leaving.

Not saying he *should* do this, but not a soul in the world should be surprised if he does.

Embiid & Harden (to fuel FA speculation)
Derozen (because he's not a threat)
Kyrie (with the last pick, so that he can claim he's not petty)

Especially considering Curry and Kyrie on the floor at once makes the opposing team significantly bigger, so it'd be tough for Curry to take him.

Then again, if I'm Curry, I know this whole show is about making crazy-ass plays, folks crossing each other up, etc. Having the two best ball-handlers in the NBA in the same backcourt would definitely make for some fun. It would also ensure (a) he wouldn't have to face off against Kyrie and (b) he wouldn't have to face off against Bron, who'd inevitably be facing off against either Kyrie or Durant, if Steph gets him.

If Bron doesn't take Durant first, Curry obviously takes Durant.
If Bron *does* take Durant first, Curry should take Giannis first and Kyrie second, if he's still there.

If they were trying to construct *real* teams, they'd both look at bigs earlier, but it's the All-Star Game, the bigs are only really there to catch oops and occasionally pop 3s. It's a format that vastly favors the guards and wings.

those two would be on the same team if LeBron wasn't butthurt over the Kobe Ball that put the Cheat Codes up 3-0

I think, in the end, trading Kyrie away will make me more mad than The Decision. not even Duke could damper my enthusiasm for such a player on my favorite team

Yes, I'm mad. Let's move on.

He's VERY fucking good. Easily the key to that team's success last year and an absolute excellent piece this year.

One thing that always makes me laugh when seeing him though is Basa saying he's not going to draft Al Horford in Survivor anymore because he's "tired of him and his tittie muscles".

But oh well.

Proud of Karl Towns, after last year’s snub he’s come back and earned his first of what is going to be about 12 All Star appearances.

The Warriors don't need 4 guys. That's shit is retarded.

Growing up, I never remembered a players record have anything to do with them being an All Star. That is the definition of some "new shit". From Alvin Robertson to Rolando Blackman to Chris Mullin. There were a lot of guys who put up stats make it to the All Star Game. This ain't All-NBA. Stats trump records.

And he came in 5th. Despite averaging 17.5 and 7. Something so few rookies have *ever* done. I said it was ludicrous. And everyone told me to kick rocks because the Sixers suck, high usage rate, etc. All these reasons to ignore 17.5 and 7.

So now, nobody can cite per-game stats and gain much sympathy with me. I've accepted the world as it is and now play by the established rules.

Its not supposed to take into account previous seasons. And he actually has been to the playoffs.

I mean statistically hes having a pretty remarkable season

14 ppg but

15 RPG which is the highest total since the 03 season.
Hes also avging almost 4 assists per game which is tied for 3rd amongst centers behind Cuz and Jokic (with Gasol)

Speaking of looking at past seasons to this season...
Thats one of the weirdest upticks youll see at this point in a career since his previous assist high was 1.0... that and the 22% jump in FT%

and what the Pistons are going through

Jon Leuer: missed 37 games and counting with an ankle
Reggie Jackson:. missed 12 games and counting with a rolled ankle
Avery Bradley: missed 7 with a groin injury that is lingering
Stanley Johnson: missed 12 games with a hip flexor

Jackson, Bradley and Stanley injuries all basically happened at the same time and the Pistons were 19-14 before Jackson went down

lots of young "stars" losing on healthy teams. Drummond isnt one of them. Pistons record with both Jackson and Drummond on the floor has been well over .500 for 2 full calendar years.

make All-Star teams unless its an HOF'er stuck on a shit team like Kobe in 05, Iverson 04/06, KG in 06/07, Wade in 08, dudes that already have multiple all-star/all-nba/all-defense/MVP's/titles under their belt.

Kyrie probably had the worst resume for an All-Star on a losing team and lot of that was luck & timing during a period when the east was significantly weak at guard.
