Freeman got 2 personal fouls for 1) unnecessary roughness for fussing at a Saints player and 2) facemask when he stiff armed a tackler and hit his facemask and the defender did the exact same thing.
Falcons got called for OPI when Sanu blocked for Julio on a screen, but Kamara got 21 yards on a pick play 5 yards down field.

That one played resulted in a tie at the half. They got gorilla stomped in the second half. These are grown men, they shouldnt be broken. Guess thats why they never make them playoffs!!! GOAT!

but if they don't have the heart to pull out these games, getting to the playoffs doesn't really matter.
i just wish we had a better draft pick to salvage from this season.
i still like the young players we're working with...looking like we might need to bolster the line for the long haul though. that was the scariest thing this season when it was disappearing.

Defense is getting really fucking good, for the most part.
And if Garoppolo is playing like this with a busted o-line and cast-off WRs, imagine if we spending the off-season/draft rebuilding the o-line and getting some skill players to surround him with.
I don't know what the team is going to look like next year. Probably half these guys (especially on the offense side) probably won't be on the roster opening day. But I do know that there's hope at Levi's, which we pretty much haven't had since the building opened.

Foles is not a starting caliber QB - I said it when he had his 27/2 season, said it after he was traded, and will continue to say it.
He’s extremely erratic with his accuracy mainly due to sloppy footwork, misses so many makeable throws, gets uncomfortable in the pocket with any kind of pass rush, and he holds onto the ball bc he cannot process his reads.
Just sucks bc this team had a serious chance.

he's only 29 and still has a striking ability to win the ball (when he's at his best).
but he's paid like a WR1, when he's only been that kind of player for three of his eight years. the last of which was in 2014. he could probably do great as a #2 on a different team, if he buys into it.

and I go back and forth on it. He certainly can win jump balls, when healthy. But, consistently getting open? I dunno. Really like him, though. Wonder how he'd respond to us getting a take the top off type.
