I don't have much faith in it actually going anywhere, but if it gets the NCAA fuming I'm all for it.

Plenty of apparel companies that aren't in the NCAA game that may see some real potential there-- especially if they think big-name prospects may actual play in LaVar's league. That way, they can get their claws in future stars early.

BBB can't do it alone, sadly. But I bet he could find a couple of willing co-sponsors.

There are obviously a ton of logistical hurdles, but more and more kids are outspoken about the NCAA's exploitation of the athletes. Even once OAD is done away with (soon), there will be a tier of players not quite ready for the NBA who don't want to play college ball for free when they know they could earn, but Europe is too much of a logistical hassle and the G-League doesn't presently pay much at all. I think he could find 40 kids-- 4 teams of ten-- who want to explore this path. Most of them wouldn't be the stars, but he just has to find a couple of 4-star kids that he can promote the shit out of.

If UCLA was really going to suspend kids the whole season off some damn sunglasses, then I owe Lavar an apology.
