1) I'm mad I didn't get to see him play 2) I'm mad youtube didn't exist back when 3) I'm glad it does now 4) I'm sad this dude didn't get a real shot 5) I'm also sad it was mostly his fault
I remember being so geeked coming home from school to watch highlights of him and KG on HS Sports show that used to come on ESPN. My mind was blown. Between the two of them I looked at my tv. Then looked at my basketball court in the backyard and wondered how those kids and myself could both be in high school.

I just heard 'stories'. One in particular about the highlight in the video where he cleared dude's head.
I was playing in a tournament in Galesburg, IL and struck up a convo with one of the refs and he was telling me about the week prior when Farragut was there. Said Fields cleared dudes head and dunked it. They had to stop the game for like 5 minutes because the crowd reacted so excitedly that they were coming on the floor.
Mind you, this was before Vince did it in the olympics so I had never seen/heard of anyone doing it in a game situation.
*mind blown*
I light weight didn't believe it, until I hunted down a newspaper clip of the pic.
winter 93/94. my high school played in the same division as farragut. still one of my favorite games that i've seen in person. he and KG were just ridiculous. those other kids had no business being on the same court.

We did play Peoria Manuel when Sergio McClain and Frank Williams were there. Surprisingly we gave them a game but they ended up beating us by 10 (blew some FT's at the end).
