He earned a lot of respect from me tonight. I don't think he beats the top three in GGG, Danny,and Canelo though. Would love to see him fight Andrade just to see where Andrade is at.

I like Danny, but I don't think he's a top 3 middleweight right now. I actually think BJS vs Jacobs is about a 65/35 fight in favor of BJS. I'd say Jermall Charlo gives BJS a more competitive fight with a similar style matchup.
It would be interesting to see who would press the action if BJS fought Andrade or Lara tho, since they all rely on evasiveness and pretty much wait on their opponents to act. Rare to see any of them do anything other than counterpunch. Also, I like Andrade, but that dude needs to fight more.
We know GGG just comes forward and Canelo will do either, depending on who he's fighting. Many argue that Lara beat Canelo in that decision (I'm in that camp), so Lara or Canelo might be similar fights, but I'd wanna see the Lara fight more.

and what I'd heard about him in boxing circles was that he was a bum, holding a belt hostage. That's obviously not what we saw against Lemieux. And honestly, I've never been very impressed with Lemieux, but fuck, Saunders made him look like a child. It was a much worse lose than even the GGG one. I'd be very curious to see him against GGG/Canelo/Jacobs/Charlo, just like everyone else. Hopefully one of those gets made for next year.

Whatever you've heard about him until now was probably true until tonight. He has definitely been holding the belt hostage and fighting bums for a while. I mean, he's a "champion" who called out Willie Monroe Jr (of all people) for his last fight, and had a boring, competitive 12-round fight with him. This performance against Lemieux was his best ever and surprised alotta people... he's improved alot. This definitely wasn't a performance to scoff at, but I need to see him against better comp before I call him an elite.
6. "Danny Jacobs is trying to get him for April 28th" In response to Reply # 5
which could set the winner up nicely for the winner of Canelo/GGG 2 later in the year. I'm not particularly interested in seeing Jacobs against Golovkin again, but, any of the other 3 bouts I'd be excited for.

Jermall Charlo is already the WBC mandatory, making him the fight for the winner of GGG/ Canelo 2 as well, so it looks like 2018 will be another great year for boxing.
