Standard catches look so much more difficult from that view. You can see receivers' routes so much better, you can see how RBs hit or miss holes, you can see how defensive backs and linebackers eye their coverages and make decisions, etc. It's fun/different. With the sideline view you're mostly watching linemen hit eachother and the QB drop back.

Don't have to switch every play to it but it's a nice change of pace for a good chunk of games. Every network should employ it for parts of every game IMO.

mix it up with standard cam

but for a sport based on lanes and alleys, it sure makes it easier when you can actually see them. sideline view means no depth perception.

A few people on here seem to hate it. Sure any change to an established format takes adjustment, but to me the action is so much clearer.

Side view zoomed in on the QB's torso is horrible, so the Madden cam is far superior to that, yes.

it's *ok* in the passing game, but in the run game everything between the tackles (or even off tackle) looks like a mush of humanity.

The more I think about this, the more upset I am that we've been watching this shitty brand of TV football for our entire lifetimes.

the linemen look like they all line up shoulder to shoulder.

when in reality they have noticeable splits and actually open up lanes and shit.
