I love Dez...he just can't get it done anymore. I think his brute toughness was his undoing. If you need him to catch a hitch and mash two grown men into the ground to get a first down or get in the endzone...he's got you...but, he's not getting separation from corners...and he never was a great route runner.

I do appreciate bold choices*. That's why I wish the teams in every sport still got to choose their jersey supplier rather than the leagues handling the contract for them and everyone using the same template (we'll never go back to those days though, oh well). Some bold choices work better than you'd think. For instance: I hated the Seahwaks current jersey set when they introduced them, but when you saw them on the field they actually look slick and different. Now they're one of my favorites. But the Jags helmets is the other kind of bold where it's just difficult to look at.
*conversely, I also like stubbornness sometimes. The Panthers are a team that absolutely should change their jerseys and almost defiantly haven't. Those jerseys are so fucking 90's but they still kinda work and I'm not mad.

but, if you follow the Seahawks, which you don't, then you'd know that it seems like the Hawks get called for a disparate amount of penalties (hint: we lead the league by a country mile).
like the Hawks will legitimately be holding, and they'll get called for it. the opponent will legitimately be holding, and not get called.
it's just nice to see a Seahawks game where EVERY call didn't go against us, and we even got away a couple things which never seems to happen but always seems to happen for the opponent.

In one sentence you say there’s no bias against the Seahawks and then you say there’s been a disparate amount of penalties called against Seattle even when the opponent is doing the same thing. So which one is it?
Obviously it has to be something unrelated to the one common variable in all this (the Seahawks team itself) bc they definitely couldn’t be the issue.

now, back to my original point...no, i don't think the refs have it out for us. i realize that we commit a lot of penalties. it drives me insane at times.
that said, we are penalized a disparate amount for things that other teams don't get called for. i see about the same amount of holding calls on either side when we play, but we always seem to get called for more of them. now, i dunno if it's because Russ' movement makes them easier to spot or what. shit, there was like a 3 game span last season where all the pundits were talking about pick plays because the Hawks kept getting called for them while the opponent was doing the same shit and not getting called.
that's all i was saying about last night. the calls went both ways when they were there (and we didn't make too many stupid penalties) AND when there was a questionable instance or two with the refs it didn't go against us as it usually seems to.
as for always complaining about penalties like you said? yes, i will always complain when the refs fuck up.

seeing the bad calls in hindsight didn't hurt as bad cuz we already lost.
