Im also nervous to see how Ainge is going to destroy some team on a deal with Hayward, cause Brown, Tatum. Kyrie and Hayward can't all fit together

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

His career a little earlier than most but I knew he would be great in the NBA. I’m still upset we lost to Hawaii in the tournament with him. That team had potential to make a run if we got past Hawaii.

Anyways, he is a great athlete and a very smart young man.

The only disappointment I have is that he went to the Celtics but that wasn’t within his control.

Lazy thinking of big market/small market. Hayward actually caught all sorts of shit in utah, especially around the time he was negotiating his extension and after he signed it. that was part of the reason he left, other than the fact that Cs were putting something bigger together while the Jazz was relying in no small part on the tired legs of guys like Joe Johnson and Boris Diaw.

I think anyone who saw the Cs last year late in the year could tell Brown was coming on. Tatum is a different story, he had some very mature elements to his game (footwork, level-headedness) but I didn't know how good he'd be out of the box.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

which was stupid, even putting aside the basketball reasons it was dumb, it was dumb for the same reasons they realized later. let's face it, utah is never going to be a premiere FA destination and even keeping stars, especially black stars, will be tough. there are only so many karl malones and carlos boozers. here they had a pasty midwestern guy who didn't seem to give too much of a shit about market size. they should have embraced him sooner but probably it wouldn't have mattered. he is exactly the kind of guy they could get and actually keep, but he bailed on them

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

about opinions of Jaylen as an individual player.

As far as the Celtics as team, at the start of the season I don't think many people would've had them with the best record in the entire NBA at this point, so obviously they have exceeded expectations.

Didn't love his handles or his jumper in college. Still don't love his jumper, but it's improving. He's basically improving everywhere. Says a lot about both him and the development skills of Stevens.

I look at what's happening with poor Hoiberg in Chicago, where he was hired to coach a team that didn't have roster that played to his strengths, and then GarPax proceeded to build a roster that... went even further from his strengths.

IIRC, Brown was projected 5th-7th in that draft and it was viewed as a bit of a high-upside reach-- and certainly Terry Rozier was seen as a reach when they took him there too. They trusted Stevens to pick guys who fit his style well, and it's paid off very nicely.

comparing ainge, a top 5 gm, to garpax is ridiculous. also hoiberg had more nba ties than stevens but whatever. i wonder if he will get another shot once this bulls gig evaporates. obviously he hasnt had much success but the whole thing has been in turmoil and now a rebuild
