It seems like the Lakers have had the opposite approach. They basically gave the keys to Lonzo from day 1 and decided they were going to live and die with him. I remember when Lonzo was out during the preseason Luke said something about they weren’t able to put all of the offense in because Lonzo wasn’t there and I thought “WTF?” I just feel throwing a 19 year-old rookie guard out there for 30+ minutes a night from day 1 can be extremely taxing physically and mentally and is a set for hitting the proverbial “rookie wall”.

In basketball you’re going from a 40 minute 30 game season to at 48 minute 82 game season.
Most of these guys are only a couple of year’s removed from 32 minute high school games.
Now they’re playing 2-3 times as many games against grown ass men. It can take a toll.
And overall I feel like the transition to the pros is tougher for guards than big men.

And he's been taking the same type of shots with equivalent spacing this season...he simply hasn't made them yet. So yes, his shooting % from distance will tick back up and yes at that point you will start making the asinine argument that he's trying to pad his stats (which you're already trying to set-up).
He also had a top 3 shooting % in the paint last year but that will take more time to acclimate in the NBA because of the physicality of the league and his current lack of ability to absorb contact well (something not lost on him - it's his requisite response when asked about the biggest diff between college and the NBA, and what he needs to work on most).
In sum, you will continue to fabricate arguments and use anecdotal clips because that's what you do. The reality is BI's usage rate is higher than either Lonzo or Kuzma's so he's getting a greater share of touches, and PPP, BI iso's are not very effective and to his credit, unlike yourself, he has absorbed that info and has cut down on his iso takes.

His usage rate is still the 2nd highest of any starter but he has adapted his shot selection to be less of the iso variety, choosing quality over quantity.
When he decides to pass up a semi-quality look and make the extra pass for a high quality look, you're angrily muttering something while I'm smiling...bc that's how we want to play.
BI may be "your guy" but thankfully he doesn't share your basic "get stats" mentality.
