With City firmly in the lead and not looking like they'll relinquish it anytime soon, tomorrow's early game could be a big decider in how strong of a title challenge they'll receive. With United and Spurs tied at 20pts (City at 25) and only separated by goal diff, the stakes are clear for all to see. Recent play from United has provided little excitement, while Spurs showed in their thrashing of Liverpool that they have the goods once more. Unfortunately for them they'll have to do without the superlative presence of Harry Kane, who hasn't recovered from a hamstring injury suffered during said game. Tottenham has enough weapons to aim for a win, but considering United's recent reliance on evergreen Mourinho tactics, the spectacular could be lacking on the field. Still, United are at home so one can hope they'll show some initiative.

he's seemed efficient the times I've watched United but then I was listening to the game last week while running and it didn't sound like he was having much of an impact (which tbf could've been a whole team thing that day, and Huddlersfield's efforts).

if he's on his game and can beat his man it's smooth sailing.
but if not he's kind of useless as he gets down on himself and forgets the many other talents he has. unlike rashford he isn't good at floating around and finding pockets of space.
jose doesn't let him roam which i disagree with and he's often starting too far away from goal. as much as i hated LVGball Martial got a lot more 1v1 isos way up the field
and the current structure of attacks coming almost solely from LW and RB gets him double teamed often
that's partly why i want to see that front 3 going forward as i think it'd make things far easier for our attackers as a whole to be able to move and combine naturally. and all 3 can play all across the line.
as an observer it all seems so simple and obvious that i can only assume there's something happening in practice as to why we haven't seen the most obvious lineup we could field.

not that unusual at that age (MBappe has been doing that a lot the last few games too), it can be a part of processing things on the field, but when contrasted with Rashford's attitude it's not encouraging. I like the way he uses his speed to both create and destabilize, and in general feel like technically there's enough that he won't fall by the wayside once he hits his mid-20s. IF his mind is right, for which it's still early days imo

I don't think the problems Madrid has are with personnel. They just had 5 players in the Fifa world 11, 2 more in the second team, and 3 more in the third team. I say that only to say the squad is fucking stacked. Options at striker having let Morata go are limited but aside from that...
Know what they should do? Sell Isco.
