Given Doc's mediocre track record is, I can't see that CP3's decision was a major factor into the decision. But CP3's decision was probably the nail in the coffin.
Like Ryan M said, Doc never drafted a starter. Never solved the SF problem and traded for and signed his own son. So Doc's didn't have a good resume.
This move should have been made at least two seasons ago.
I like them keeping him behind the bench. Yes, he was out-coached like a muthafucka in the first round but that is a credit to Quin Snyder. Both guys were top 10 coaches during the season.
