"Kyrie Irving 2017 and Beyond Agenda Thread"

Busy with Bagley right now. Will tend to this once it's settled.

And yes I'm prepared to cyse the Knicks and Zingis.

But, again, I was already rolling with the Celts this season.

Shit is dead. He's proven who he is on the biggest stage and I think he's got way more in him at 25. You wanna talk some shit and double down about what how good he CANT BE again? Cool. I'm wit it. But I stand by what I said. His shooting percentages across the board are better than Kobe. And I won't even say no petty shit like if he were 6-7, 210 this wouldn't be close, but I'll just say if Kobe were 6-3, 190 this wouldn't be close.

Crazy you been holding out hope for a fucking 21 year old bullshitter like Russell to level and screaming patience, but the idea of 25 year-old Kyrie, already putting up numbers as second fiddle to a GOAT, just MAYBE got a another level in him that cannot be tapped into in his current circumstance. I'm betting if he had the greenlight Kobe and some other niggas got, he'd damn sure win some scoring titles and an MVP.

But I never doubted him in the first place. *shrug*

I was just fucking around and Ryan was just stating the fairly obvious but we managed to get:

I'm
>betting if he had the greenlight Kobe and some other niggas
>got, he'd damn sure win some scoring titles and an MVP.

and even better:

And I won't
>even say no petty shit like if he were 6-7, 210 this wouldn't
>be close, but I'll just say if Kobe were 6-3, 190 this
>wouldn't be close.

Cysing would have been making a whole thread about it and linking highlights.

Besides, Y'ALL were the bums who acted like AS MVP wasn't a big deal for ONE YEAR and then went right back to poplockin when Russ ran fast for 30 points worth of layups and dunks.

No, I did not. I did when Toxic Asset Avenger got benched and put on the trading block but couldn't find a taker because nobody wanted his obsolete trash ass though.

Kobe asked for the other guy to be traded.

I mean if you want to be The Man and LeBron is one leg out the door anyway, then go to Gilbert and say: get something for him now. This was your team, they drafted you #1, remember?

I mean I get why Rie wants out, he not a 2-way player, so his impact on a mediocre/bad team is limited, so he wants to go somewhere like Utah or team up with somebody. But that's not what Kobe did.

they also drafted lebron #1 and it has been his team twice. further lebron is probably leaving and where will that leave cleveland? also the lakers are the lakers, especially then when buss was alive, and LA is LA. we are talking about a top-two organization all-time and a dream city for a pro athlete. the cavs are the cavs and cleveland is cleveland. they could be born on third base and need a throwing error to cross the plate, and the city drab as shit. so pretty different circumstances there.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

Bottomline.

Got rid of the only GM he trusted to make sound decisions.

They already let it leak they tried to trade him first and that was a factor in Griff bouncing.

Now Bron is OPENLY setting up his second exit. All these lil "ha ha he he....wink wink" Laker jokes that Bron is playing up instead of categorically denying?

I don't know how many times it needs to be said, but Kyrie ain't like the rest of these niggas. He's mentally tough and don't care what people think. He ain't got time for Bron and Mav's Game of Thrones bullshit. He's not a pawn. And the fact that some people are actually getting angry at him for taking his fate in his own hands just proves to me that people ain't been paying attention to who this guy is. All niggas know is Uncle Drew and flat earth. Well, meet Kyrie, niggas.

In order of fault:

Bron - All this passive aggressive pushing to LA is old. He was more than likely consulted about trades including the one that would've sent Ky to Indiana for PG13. He pushed for the current roster construction and seemingly slyly heading for the exit door leaving this Cavs team in a bad spot.

Comic Sans Dan - Fired the best GM in the league and allowed Bron to walk over him building this roster into one built around Bron versus Ky. Has not tried to smooth things over with Ky at all.

Ky is well within his right to want out. As fan it just seems like a bad idea considering we're coming off a finals loss. This idea that he wants to be the man on a team without help is laughable considering he wants a trade turning his new team into a bad roster without help. If he wants out then he has to go west. Play in the western conference with the Warriors.

There's no way we can trade Ky especially to Miami. Ky has two years remaining on his deal so we can take our time. He really wants to go to New York without either Melo or dat Zingis. IF Ky gets traded to say San Antonio we shouldn't do the deal for anything less than Kwahi + extras. Whatever team he goes to gets raided to the point where barely anything is left. At bare minimum we need a young perennial all-star(s), two preferably three first round picks, and a franchise cornerstone as well. No washed up halfway out they prime old niggas allowed. The team we trade with has to take one of our bad contracts too.

So basically we giving Ky the Mamba treatment as we rebuild around him. I never thought I'd say this but if Bron wants out that badly then we need to consider trading Lebron. Lakers can make the offer of a lifetime to acquire him if he wants to go there that badly.

>RE: LOL @ Kawhi + extras....you gotta take a break, fam. It'll be fine.

Your team goes from winning a title and reaching three straight finals to near basement status possibly en route to losing your homegrown superstar and young elite point guard in the span of one season. Lie to me and tell me you wouldn't be pissed.

Cleveland is seeking a bundle of assets, but the highest priority right now is snagging a blue-chip young player, according to sources across the league.

Yeah Kawhi amongst other young players fit that criteria with some picks. Ky has to go out west otherwise we'll regret it.

This is not going to be okay because this hurts our chances of making it out of the east. This is worse than the Kobe Shaq situation by 1 million miles. RT, Celts are favorites to make the finals and win at least three games against the Warriors. It sucks because I wanted Bron to reach eight straight finals.

I'm just getting ready to be disappointed.

Fuck this shit (c) Angry Fan

As you said he murked the GM as he was tryna make moves for PG.

James ain't wanna fuck around after that & knowing damn well how shitty Danny Boy is going all willy nillie. They promoted the assistant GM Kobe but too little too late for him to do anything meaningful aside from figuring who to trade Kyrie to.

Kyrie wants to do more than take over a squad of his own, since he'd have 2 years of running solo if he stay put. Even after Lebron leaves, the remainder of Gilbert still looms like a pulsating large white pus bump

-wants to be more of man like wall and dame
- slightly jealous of bron privileges
- cavs had a Pg trade agreed upon and started celebrating before Pritchard withered them.
-Kyrie u happy he was in trade talks
-Kyrie told dAn, after consulting with friends around league
-cavs have known since summer league started of the trade demand
-now they will take their time and process best deal but now that news dropped they don't hold all the cards

You have him winning a ring with Miami's current roster? Doesn't that mean you'd have to ride with Dion Waiters?

Kawhi is the best player on that team and Irving's arrival won't change that. There are a lot of NBA teams where Irving would be the best player, but it's difficult to envision those teams winning a title. Also, let's face it, the Spurs don't have the much to offer in trade. LA+Mills? Seems a little light, plus then they are pretty short on bigs going forward.

I think it's less about strength of his cast and more about him being surrounded or playing with very specific players that fit well with Kyrie's very specific style of play and exceptional skill set....

Like someone else said, I could see Ky thriving on the Milwaukee Bucks (he would be paired up with a do-everything, slashing nightmare who also plays D in Giannis...)

I also see him meshing well in MN (Again...same formula....Jimmy Buckets, a SF who plays defense, can pass the ball when he needs to and keeps defense's honest)....

I think Ky would struggle to get in the playoffs if he's the best player by a wide margin....But dude would be an absolute nightmare if he's in a setting where he can just be Kyrie and fill it up on the offensive end. He is virtually unstoppable on a one-on-one scenario.

Just keep him away from the Knicks.....

GOAT of his era......long live Prince.....God is alive....

he isn't as pressed as say KD who accomplished it all on an individual level but never got a ring.

again i could see this in a year but the timing is weird AF. ride it out one more season, take the opportunity to win and grow your own role at the same time.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

The points and rebounds per game are basically the same, but Coleman was a better passer, shot blocker, and more versatile as he could handle the ball and shoot from the perimeter.

Coleman's best in the playoffs was better than Boozer's.

Coleman had way more talent, mostly threw it away. Probably his most dedicated season was 03 in Philly when his body was already shot to shit. He got a nice $9M or $10M junk contract (after he was clearly done) for his effort though. He played with so much heart that year.

He was a hell of a rebounder too. Good passer, good fundamentals, played with an edge.

Media didn't like him so it's a character flaw that his body broke down early, instead of the sad story it is for the guys they like.

Pre injury, he was 20 points, 10 boards, 3-4 assists. Very good.

He could be the real Linsanity there, average a near triple double en route to a 7 seed and Knicks fans would throw him a parade.

Heaven forbid he makes an East final with Porzingis, they'd build him a statue.

Knicks is the answer
