In a moment of honesty I have to say their careers and play styles are different. Bron has accomplishments Kobe doesn't have and Kobe has accomplishments Bron doesn't have.
If Bron joins the Lakers this will be his third team and is not a good look. Bron should have one to two more years of prime performance left in him at that point. By then it's not quite a push because Brown's game should age better than Kobe's.
Kobe's better in the sense of "AS A LAKER" because he was with the team from his first preseason game of his NBA career to his last and won more titles in the uniform. Check the Lakers all time statistical leaders and you'll see Kobe but not Bron so that makes my case in this hypothetical scenario. Oh yeah, 5 rings says hi.

Feels like his game will age well, like Duncan and Malone. He's smart, takes care of his body, and has improved in certain facets every year despite so much mileage. He won't be the Bron of today of course but 70% of Bron is a hell of a building block.

If he wants he can play until 40 Barkley'ing people. He might lose some acceleration and leap, but he will always be strong enough to get to the rim and shoot from outside to conserve some of those bull moves for late in games.

after Bron caught freebasing Ben Gay in the parking garage @ Staples b4 a game. As of then smoking Ben Gay was not banned but later it became so. So those titles are kinda suspect. AARP lobbied hard against the rule change. Clint Eastwood sent a letter to the commish telling him to keep those darkies off his lawn. He later retracted it via a new statement, "What was that you said? WHAT? I didn't catch that."
The Bron stans partied. Knee braces became fashion. Many kids got sick from smoking Icy Hot-laced blunts. Others snorted Neosporin trying to be cute and ended up with pneumonia. Bron had to issue a statement, "I don't know about that. You said what?"
