RE: Serious question though: How long can the Bucks use the young excuse?

i don't know, maybe as long as they're still young??

http://cdn.herosports.com/upload/files/2017/04/NBA-Playoffs-Average-Age-Graph-e1492449214751.jpg

"The Milwaukee Bucks started the youngest five-person squad in the league with an average starter age of 23.6 years old. That's a group headlined by All Star Giannis Antetokounmpo (22.4 years old), with a pair of rookies -- Malcolm Brogdon (24.3 years old) and Thon Maker (20.1 years old, supposedly). Add in Tony Snell and Khris Middleton (25.4 and 25.6 years old, respectively), and the Bucks have the youngest starting lineup of all playoff teams by 1.7 years.

The Bucks have two of the four youngest players in the NBA Playoffs -- Antetokounmpo and Maker -- and all five Bucks starters are within the 22 youngest starters of the 80 total players who started game one of the playoffs. Every Milwaukee starter is younger than all five starters on San Antonio, Boston, Golden State, Chicago and Los Angeles."

Middleton was trending down the last 3 weeks of the season, but really shit the bed these last 3 games. Can't completely blame him as he wasn't supposed to play as many minutes as he did, but that if he's your number 2, your offense needs help.

And Kidd's non-existent sets didn't help a really young team manage how to manufacture points when shots aren't falling, or you need to stop a run. This should have been where you're teaching them how to do that, and in the future let them figure it out.

I really hope the Clips blow it all up, and the Bucks somehow swing CP3. Make the Bucks at worst the 2 seed in the East and Team Agenda

for as much as he commands the ball to do anything, he's garbage and doesn't fit with this team at all.

I'm glad you agree Kidd isn't invincible because the team is young. You can't be that wildly inconsistent in 6 games, lose the final 3 badly, and blame it entirely on young players. He was either being lazy, flat out didn't know how to adjust after the game 4 egg, or both.

Bucks fans gotta expect more next season.

That's now how it works anymore

You use pick and roll and work on spacing and those
things, but "sets?" This isn't mid-major basketball.

Kidd's coaching manifests in player development, lineups
and adjustments.

The Bucks got beat by a very experienced, much better
basketball team, featuring the second best backcourt
in basketball.

And when they did, the play was everyone going stand in a corner and Giannis will do everything. Again.

They needed Kidd to even attempt to draw something up. Brogdon and Giannis aren't there yet, and Delly is useless.

Even still, I'm completely excites about next year.

Which is, of course, the result of coaching, no?

But the Raptors are the consensus second best backcourt.
Not really controversial.

the Raptors just can't shoot, aside from this Powell bamma who had the series of his life.

And there's a handful of backcourts I'd take over those chumps.

After the Dubs, there's maybe one backcourt (Blazers)
and the Raptors backcourt is actually better

So simply not scoring a ton of points every game doesn't mean the Bucks were playing great D. In spurts they did, but everyone should have seen how often the Bucks were late on rotations and help in the paint if they watched the series. So many complete defensive breakdowns. Kidd takes at least part of that blame, along with part of the blame of not having a half-court offense, along with part of the blame for losing the final 3 games in a row, 2 at home, mostly in blowout fashion. If anyone thinks Toronto is such a superior team that they can just take complete control like that all on their own accord, you're kidding yourself.

This is an impressive take. Would anyone else have even thought about if this team is disappointing? This is visionary hate right here.

At the beginning of the season this team was barely on anyone's radar. Giannis and Parker got a little shine, and that's it. Hell, earlier this season people were writing them off. Now they aren't for real for not beating the third best team in the conference? Whatever, man.

Bringing up the "Young" excuse makes sense with the Wolves because they underachieved expectations. They were supposed to make the leap and instead are making another high lotto selection.

The Bucks beat their prediction. Who had them ranked as the 6th seed in the East this season. And they did it with Middleton and Jabari playing like one game together.

Respectively. Yeahhhhhhhhh. Like, I don't even love the Bucks' future as much as a lot of other people do, but this right here is a new level of weird dumbness. I kind of love it. It's agenda posting taken to its nuttiest extreme.
