Ive always enjoyed the classic in the past. This year it caught me a bit off guard and Ive only seen parts of a couple games.

I feel like in the past (could be completely wrong) that by this stage teams were playing in the same place. Its kind of weird theyre spread out over Asia and the US now, no?

Anyhow, DR was looking strong til PR beat them 3-1 last night. Japan looking like faves to come out of the other regional with the Netherlands.

After all that Bautista shit...foh here. Texas fans and Odor can really suck a fat dick. Fucking idiots. Dont' ever want to hear one thing about Bautista who deserves to batflip whenever the fuck he wants because he's a solidified home run king. Odor is barely in the league. Foh.

He's a good defender, but I'm not going to make any over-the-top claims about him being the best X, Y, or Z. But he might be my favorite to watch. There's something just relentlessly aggressive about the way he plays the outfield - not like he's trying to defend against hits so much as he is aggressively hunting for outs.

It's not a technical distinction but a tonal one, but it's real. It also means he's probably more prone to airmail a ball into the seats on a throw that shouldn't even have been made in the first place or dive after a falling hit that should have been played on the hop. But it's worth the occasional mess.
