****Payments Update****
Delinquent:
-The Champ ($80)

You have until 11:59pm EST on March 31st to get me the fee without further penalty.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rankings:
1. Tribeca HiBrows (Ern)(1)(39-19, 299.6) - Just missed 300 leaving me as the only team to have done it!
2. Stanley Forms a Wall (Boogs)(3)(39-19, 291.8) - Made the late season run interesting. Fell short by a game.
3. ex. Detroit ex. Pistons (Ceej)(6)(36-22, 282.5) - Could you imagine if Ceej actually won this thing?
4. Duval County Plumlords (Frank)(2)(35-23, 296.9) - Dark Horse #1.
5. Earthquake State Degenerate Gamblers (Ryan)(4)(36-22, 287.3) - Won the Walton and secured the top seed in the White conference...barely.
6. Theodelphia Theventy-Thixers (Theo)(5)(34-24, 284.8) - Tough team to face at any point in the post season.
7. Restown Smerf City Slamz (Smerf)(7)(33-25, 279.6) - Has a cakewalk in the first round. It'll get interesting in rd two for the sophomore.
8. Coney Island Bad Boys VII: Rejuvenated (Dep. Commish)(9)(31-27, 281.3) - Trip Dub Russ may have to save him...again.
9. Cerritos Bad Hombres (Shawn)(10)(27-31, 279.7) - Dark Horse #2.
10. Oakland Cardpullers (Mr.Hood)(8)(29-29, 274.3) - Durant down = Done.
11. Chi.ESL Commissioners (The Commish)(11)(26-32, 276.5) - I need Love (c) James Todd Smith.
12. Houston Hardhead Kickdoe CHAMPS (The Champ)(14)(21-37, 268.3) - Said he gonna pay...still waiting on that day.
13. Skid Row SoulHonky (SoulHonky)(15)(20-38, 267.3) - Came back to the league to suck. Suck-ceeded
14. Northeast DC Trade Guerillas (Magilla)(12)(26-32, 261.0) - CP3's return might lead to Longo's burn.
15. L.A. Major Keys (RBO)(13)(20-38, 275.2) - Too much focus on Kentucky hoops.
16. Philadelphia Peasants (TJT)(16)(12-46, 240.9) - On his Richard Jefferson retirement mull.
Playoff Predictionator 5000:
So just like last year...
http://board.okayplayer.com/okp.php?az=show_topic&forum=8&topic_id=2520050&mesg_id=2520050&listing_type=search
I'm using the sites playoff comparer tool to predict this year's winner. Last year it accurately predicted LABeat as the champ...though it surprised everyone by putting Magilla in the finals next to him.
So this year's results?
****CALCULATING****
African Jungle Conference
Rd 1:
Byes
Tribeca (Ern)
Stanley (Boogs)
Same two from last year. SMH
6-NE DC(Magilla) vs 3-Duval County(Frank) = 4-1 Duval County
http://basketball.sports.ws/league/playoff_compare.x?league=170385&team1=7&team2=15
Same two teams met in the first round last year, same seeds even.
5-Oakland(Mr. Hood) vs 4-Restown(Smerf) = 4-3 Restown
http://basketball.sports.ws/league/playoff_compare.x?league=170385&team1=16&team2=9
Had a rookie vs a vet in this slot last year too.
Rd 2
3-Duval County(Frank) vs 2-Stanley(Boogs) = 4-2 Duval County
http://basketball.sports.ws/league/playoff_compare.x?league=170385&team1=15&team2=2
4-Restown(Smerf) vs 1-Tribeca(Ern) = Too close to call so I'm going with the season higher avg. 4-3 Tribeca
http://basketball.sports.ws/league/playoff_compare.x?league=170385&team1=9&team2=14
Conf Finals
3-Duval County(Frank) vs 1-Tribeca(Ern) = Too close to call so going with higher avg. 4-3 Tribeca
http://basketball.sports.ws/league/playoff_compare.x?league=170385&team1=15&team2=14
Caucasus Mountains Conference
Rd 1:
Byes
Earthquake State (Ryan)
ex. Detroit (Ceej)
Fun facts: The top two spots last year are the 5 & 6 spots this yr.
Also there's only 11 Fppg separating the 1 seed from the 6 seed in the conference vs a 38 ppg difference in the other conference.
6-Chi.ESL(A_B) vs 3-Theodelphia(Theo) = 4-2 Chi.ESL http://basketball.sports.ws/league/playoff_compare.x?league=170385&team1=3&team2=10
From the Prectionator to God's ears!
5-Cerritos(Shawn) vs 4-Coney Island(Cenario) = 4-2 Cerritos
http://basketball.sports.ws/league/playoff_compare.x?league=170385&team1=6&team2=5
Rd 2:
6-Chi.ESL(A_B) vs 2-ex. Detroit(Ceej) = Too close to call. Going with the higher season avg. 4-3 ex. Detroit.
http://basketball.sports.ws/league/playoff_compare.x?league=170385&team1=3&team2=11
5-Cerritos(Shawn) vs Earthquake State(Ryan) = 4-1 Cerritos
http://basketball.sports.ws/league/playoff_compare.x?league=170385&team1=6&team2=12
Conf Finals:
5-Cerritos(Shawn) vs 2-ex. Detroit(Ceej) = 4-2 Cerritos
http://basketball.sports.ws/league/playoff_compare.x?league=170385&team1=6&team2=11
2016-2017 Sports WS Predicted OKP Survivor League Finals:
5-Cerritos(Shawn) vs 1-Tribeca(Ern) = 4-2 Cerritos
http://basketball.sports.ws/league/playoff_compare.x?league=170385&team1=6&team2=14
Your 2015-2016 Sports WS Predicted OKP Survivor League Champion:
Cerritos Sworders
^^^Shawn finally gets a REAL title, joins the TTC and effectively makes Ern repeat what I did last year as best overall record and avg but not win title #3.
My best regular season ever and I'm slumping at the wrong time, not to mention some dumb moves.
Sigh.
Oh well.
make some real predictions and not some computer generated drivel.
I do think the team that comes out of my matchup with Cenario has a good chance to rep the conference barring injuries
Even if I somehow get the 1.7 I'll need across the board for my remaining 3 guys, it'll still be touch and go vs Giannis. And game 5 is all but a wrap based on how Theo has started.
Damn late season injuries and trades of my hot streak guys killed any hope I had. Losing Love and Barnes really, really hurt.
on another note, I think my lineup just screwed something up.
Rondo, Deron and Seth are all greyed out and aren't counting in the minutes projections on the lineup page.
In case some glitch in the matrix happens, this is what I tried to set my Game 65 lineup as:
C - Jokic
C - Zubac or other FA
G - Rondo
G - Deron
G - Seth
G - Smart
GF - Giannis
F - Capela
F - Beasley
CF - Amir
F - Dekker
F - Chriss
IR - Tyson
You're projected to lose by 6 and CP3 is right on projection at half. Considering Monroes low projection, I'd peg you as the favorite right now. What are you looking at?
In your defense thast a tough range to pick at.
Looking back at who went after those picks, theres no definitive guys I wouldve went with if im not wearing my hindsight Goggles.
I mean I really liked Gobert and Jokic, so maybe I take one of them....but then that felt high for a C
Maybe I go with safe boring AL Horford
Take a look at Monroe
Kyrie...
What's funny about Nurkic game last night is it shouldn't matter but what if a guy planned his lineup specifically for the Minn/den game and then this kind of screwed them.
I got Willy and Mahinmi. Good deal available bros.
Just inbox me and we can work out a deal where I drop the C you want and you drop your star player I want.
I should have waiver priority if Magilla is eliminated bros
Never assume anything. You went from a sweep to one game away from elimination. You'll need more vigilance if you plan to win this thing.
Last year was as good as any year for me as a slam dunk and ONE single game ruined it for me.
Stay focused or it could all end in a blink.
-Actually winning
-Now the 'throw dirt on his grave-ism' of Russ' being eliminated
But it looks like it might be:
Ern vs Boogs...yet again
Shawn vs Ceej...Interesting.
Sooooooooooo, I have to auto root for Boogs vs Ceej in the final.
Ern = First to 3 titles (ugh)
Shawn = breaks his Chicago Cubs losing streak
Here's to first time title winners!!! YAY!!! hahaha
C Gobert
PF Dario/Ibaka (waivers)
SF Kawhi
SG Tyler Johnson
PG Lin
Thatd be a hell of a defensive unit with Kawhi and Gobert anchoring and Tyler and Jeremy pressuring the ball. If I use the Ibaka lineup I can space things even more.
Then off the bench I bring in Young Willy and Pau. Then I have Ullis and Reggie coming off the bench.
Id worry a bit about 3 point shooting and spacing the floor in the modern game. But Kawhi, Lin, and Tyler shoot the ball well enough to keep teams honest. The bench shooting would be a problem though.
I guess Boogs team would be in the running on the strength of Bron. Its built a lot like the current Cavs team with less shooters though.
I thiunk the other real contender would be AB's team with their versatility and shooting prowess
There's a few that might rival you from a starting 5 point. Your team looked better when Parker was your 4 but even then there a few better starting 5's. Plus your guards are smallish.
G Curry/Rose
G Brogdon/Waiters
F Milsap/Ersan/Harkless
F Love/Morris
C M.Gasol/Hamilton
I think my starters could work against yours. Your bench is a little stronger.
These are no brainers:
(Boogs)
IT3
Wade
Bron
Horford
Gortat
(Ern)
Kyrie
Dame Lillard/Avery Bradley
Wiggins
Brow
Howard
^^^Any of those 3 I think could beeat your team.
LABeats team is tough too from a starters perspective
Wall
Butler
Carroll
Favors
Lopez
Soul Honky too
Jrue/Russell
George/Middleton
Melo
Gibson
Whiteside
And RBO's team would score lots of points
Conley
Harden
Tyreke
Myles
Koufos/Cauley-Stein
And Merf's is tough.
Beldsoe
Tony Allen
Otto
Porzingis
Cousins
I so hope for a Magilla vs Ceej championship. lol
Boogs got burned by Ty Lue.
Ceej's team balling.
Shawn making all the right moves but still losing bodies (Lin loss might not even be that bad with Ulis starting the rest of the year).
Ern's team looking like a sledge hammer.
This should be fun for all involved.
Nets coach Kenny Atkinson said he is "hopeful" that Jeremy Lin (ankle) will be able to play Thursday vs. the Suns.
Atkinson said the decision on Lin would be made on Thursday. Even if Lin is able to suit up, he will likely be placed on a strict minutes limit. Nonetheless, Lin's return will greatly reduce the fantasy value of Spencer Dinwiddie and Archie Goodwin.
even if its not next game means hes close.....
Might be good theyre gonna let Dinwiddie Start. Lin will just play like 20mpg to finish the season. Hopefully he can put up 1.2
He has a game like he's had his last 3 and Magilla Eeks it out.
If not I see Ernie round 1
Game 5 for the guys would still be wide open despite cp3s slow start. All Magilla can hope for is a chip and a chair
The only way I can be ok with my blown lead to him is that in checking my guys' box scores, I don't think I'd have gotten into the Finals anyway.
If you finish a series early you should be able to use games from games you didn't have to play in the next series.
He's just more minutes at the same position/production as Biyombo in case of a random DNP.
I've wanted to drop him all year. Cant believe how average he's been, and now the minutes are dropping and he's even less efficient. The C/F designation really inflates value though.
We'll consider this a post deadline trade. eff you AB!!
1st game 1 I've lost all playoffs
What really sucks is I was at the nets game last night and Dario was dominant. I was sure he was at least over 1. Nope .87! Wtf
I aint wasting no reverse jinx for some game 1 shit. Gotta save those for when Im on the brink.
I wish this were actually a 7 game series.
But nah, you are up already with decent projections for Pau and Kawhi--you still win by 20. Thats with Kyrie having another bad game.
Ill take my chances game 2
You'd only need Kawhi and Pau at 1.7, which they both hit about 3 out of 10 games. Wouldnt be much of a shocker, this one is far from over Frank.
Have fun fellas and good luck. History will be made either way.
Last year it got the champ right though one of the finalist was wrong despite me having the best team.
This year got both finalist right, might not get the champ right but might.
But the point is, it's done a decent job of predicting. Probably no worse than any of us.
Was gonna wait, but lets just get this parade started.
Disappointing on many levels after getting thru that gauntlet I just didnt have the big horses to run out here.
That fact on how Im one of only 2 teams with TJT with no players above 1.43 is what killed me (MAGILLA SPREADSHEET ACTIVATED). 3 teams with nobody above 1.44 if you count AB. Still I built the best depth and most flexible team.
No moves wouldv really saved me game 1 or game 2. I had some guys perform and a bunch of guys who didnt. When your opponent drops 330+ you need everyone at their best.
I guess theres still a small window for game 3 and 4 but with his players playing the way they are
Ill be happy with my second place earnings and sidebet from AB money. Lets get this season over so I can collect
And thats with Brow over 2, Dwight at 1.7, Zubac and Nene playing when they arent, and Dame going HAM again. And alot of your guys can easily go over projection. With Dirk rest coming, if you get 3, this is probably going the distance.
none of these games were really close.
Saric and and my two Tyler's failed me this series and no lineup adjusting wouldve fixed that.
I almost got what I needed out of Kyrie but either way I was looking at a Buzzsaw from Serge game 4 smh
Y'all had me ranked back half of the league. Now you're gonna hear some words
Frongo:
13. Magilla
Strengths: SECOND ROUND PLUMDOGG!!!
Weaknesses: could've had Westbrook on this team. And this coming from the guy who always traded up just to get Chris Paul.
Result: Lost to me in the first round, crying over UNC winning.
Cenario: "additional -3 for being magilla"
13. Northeast
Magilla should be last for taking skipping Russy and Harden but alas, we have 2 new rookies lol. Optimizing his lineup gave me a headache. It wasn't a terrible draft looking at what he finished with but it coulda been so much better.
Result: First round exit. Drafted Russy and that was it. LOLOL.
a_b:
12-NE DC(Magilla) - (284) (-3) "That's what the -3 was for...lol"
Result: Was your team even here this year?
Shawn:
12 Magilla
Checks rankings - magilla isnt last?
Some upside at center
Has Chris Paul
Has Chris Paul
Wait Im sorry, this team goes to 15 and everyone else move up 1
Result: WILDLY overrated his own team, got swept in the final. Congrats on your non-championship.
Ryan M: "Oh boy this might not be for you."
Result: http://gifrific.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Cartoon-Character-Mutley-Laughing.gif
MAN, you guys.
My team did just as well as yours this season seeing as we had the same damn record and I had +15 FPPG avg. You just got lucky and caught your biggest injuries mid season. I was unlucky and caught some mid season and some @ year end. I did all of that with a higher Opponent avg FPPG AND my first round opponent put up a 281 playoff average, yours put up 263.
Beyond that, you did alright. I got 2 titles though...get your weight up.
In fact, I have said repeatedly that I had a horrible draft and I gave your props draft in the very post you copied.
Also, everyone will tell you that regular season is a better reflection of drafting than what happens in the playoffs....and I was 20 points higher than you in the regular season. Hell, my playoff average was higher as well
Your team would have been better with Russell Westbrook. This isn't news.
70.6 in 2.05 >>>>> 52.7 in 1.69
Westbrook played more games, scored more points, and did it with a higher FPPM. You stand by this decision why?
