although he said prior to yesterday that he was torn between the two. He ain't look to torn at the game. Dolan pulled rank.

Spree though, I wouldn't be surprised if he agreed to go without even being aware of the Oak situation.

not to mention celebrity ticket owners (McEnroe is hiding in a bunker somewhere)...disappointing on a lot of levels that all of these high powered people are scared of going up against the Dolan/MSG because they might lose their tickets to watch the shit-ass knicks.

that currently do business in or around the league, I could see why they wouldn't want to burn that bridge, but for the guys that are retired completely 100% done with any professional ties with basketball, I agree with you.

Seeing how Oakley was treated, it appears working for or around MSG must be a nightmare since it appears Dolan is a very petty man. And given they the majority of his riches were handed down from his father, it's not as if he's accomplished much of anything to note. I a happy man that his family doesn't own Cablevision anymore so when I pay for my internet access monthly, he doesn't see a red cent from me anymore.

There's a ton of former players that are still cashing a check signed by Dolan and/or benefiting from a positive relationship they had as an employee. At the same time, there's a ton of players that are out of the Garden's good graces because they crossed Dolan (in Dolan's eyes of course).

dolan is a complete buffoon and a delusional one at that for legitimately thinking he can win a PR battle with Oak.

it's the very thing that makes this story so intriguing. on one hand you might have the most universally reviled man in the metropolitan area going up against one of the most beloved NY sports figures in however many years. dolan can't win but he doesn't know it.

when he was cuffed and arrested is much much more important, at least in my opinion. Getting love and/or respect from the Knicks is cool and all, but get put through the court system over some BS is a whole other matter.

Getting put into the system still bothers me the most about the whole situation. Getting kicked out of MSG and having a feud with Dolan is one matter; seeing another black man in handcuffs and getting officially charged as a criminal over trivial matters is a whole other matter to me.

cooler heads eventually prevailed.

Most people automatically took Oakley's side and Dolan's people probably could've handled the situation differently but at the same time you're not going to come into a building that I own and talk shit to or about me I don't care who you are lol.

Not so short version of the story: It was Mark Jackson's first year, we sucked, and we were tanking. We had traded a top-seven protected draft pick for fricking Marcus Williams a few years before, so in order to keep it, we had to make sure we were bad (season had gone to shit by that point anyway). So, as part of this, they traded Monta Ellis, at the time the most popular player on the team, for Andrew Bogut, who was injured and wasn't going to play the rest of the year.

To top it off, the fans were pissed because Lacob decided he was so important that he had to speak ***AFTER*** Chris Mullin at his own retirement ceremony. It got ugly.

Of course, the pick turned into Harrison Barnes, who was part of an overall dope draft class for us. Bogut worked out in the long run. And trading Ellis is one of the things that eventually allowed Curry to become Curry. But the Dubs fans had been through enough to that during that retirement ceremony, that the whole fanbase was ready to rebel.

A few days after the incident Simmons wrote a very good article damn near every single stupid move that the Warriors front office had made since the early '80s that lead up to that point.

Saying this team or dolan sucks does not equal being overly abusive.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

He's been a clown. Always.

Plus he's had a lot of reported money issues.

Didn't Sprewell get a grip of money from those idiotic spinning rims? How in the world did he go broke with the income from that and his NBA salary?

It appears he is moderately healthy based on how he looked when played the token happy shiny negro role for Dolan though.

He went from choking his white coach, rocking cornrows and creating spinning rims to voice support for trump? I'm about to burn my jersey.

He denied having a twitter account on many occasions, and there were some DMs released that strongly implied the person behind the account was some nerdy white guy.

I wonder if the man/woman behind that catfishing there is a stalker of some sort. Dude hasn't done anything recently to get into the spotlight outside of being Dolan's friendly token ex-Knicks negro, correct?
