Students on the court, rest of the crowd sticking around cheering, and Boeheim triumphantly walking around with arms up acknowledging what was happening. Beautiful stuff, and better than anything organized and scripted would've been anyway.
And damn, what a win. Just like last year in March, the ball screens weren't working. Made some adjustments defensively to take them out of their comfort zone. Started knocking down 3s and spreading them out. Jerome had absolutely no chance at guarding Battle when he had room to work, and it was amusing to watch him try. Malachi Richardson lighting up Brogdon was amazing and surprising. Battle abusing their guards today? That was just inevitable once we spaced the floor.
Virginia shot the hell out of the ball from 3, otherwise this one wouldn't have been close.
