"Local white people mad Odell, Cruz and Shepard were partying w/ Beiber"
Wed Jan-04-17 03:27 PM by Cenario

in Miami.

And by white people i mean the media.

Has this been broached nationally? I don't really rock with ESPN like that. I was disgusted at these local dudes tho.

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/giants/odell-beckham-giants-party-boys-show-immaturity-biebergate-article-1.2933504

Eli been killing the comedy recently tho. Make up for some of those ducks he been throwing.

“I think as a team we always pride ourselves on being well prepared. So when I saw some of those pictures I was a little disappointed,” Manning deadpanned, making everyone think he was about to criticize his teammates. “Just because obviously they didn’t pack accordingly. They didn’t have any shirts. Kind of long pants. No shorts. No flip flops or anything.”

But yeah NY media is the worse. They just hate to see a nigga happy and enjoying life.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

Reading the editorial I'm having trouble discerning what they did wrong. Was it just hanging out in Miami with Bieber on a boat during an off-day before the play-offs? If so, then the only thing I find objectionable is that they could find a better celebrity to chill with.

local Italians on channel 26 and they were all like 'totally understandable, but bad optics'. General opinion being that there was nothing wrong done but that it looks bad going into such an important week.

I can dig that point but they gotta all play like dog shit for me to buy it, and not even then. It's gonna be 10 fuckin degrees at Lambeau sunday, so i expect a couple drops.

Gronk got the same type of shit for partying after they lost the Super Bowl (different situation obviously). Turns out it was a mandatory Patriots party (according to his moms on that segment Annie Apple did with NFL moms at least)

Resident white denmothers Eli and McAdoo both handled the shit well with the faux outrage.

And i'm not with the bad optics either. If they took a 6 hour drive to go fishing somewhere and chugged some beers it probably would have been more draining on the body then a flight to Miami..but i doubt we'd be reading an article about it.

If its bad optics for anyone i'd say maybe shepard bc he's a rookie and not a star like Beckham. But its bad optics in the sense of the type of rep he's trying to make in the league not in terms of aw man this guy is a dummy for partying 7 DAYS before a playoff game.

objection. and don't even know why it rubs them the wrong way

i think whoever is salty is not ok with the way it looks, LITERALLY

like the aesthetics of the clothing and being on a boat carefree and posing for photos and whatnot

'unwinding' in a more blue-collar, red-blooded american fashion, say fishing, like you said, wouldn't cause any uproar. folks would be applauding the camaraderie

McAdoo:
"Players are off until tomorrow morning," McAdoo said, via the New York Daily News. "We will see them tomorrow morning and they'll get their workout in, and we'll get ready for Green Bay."

Somebody responded to Vacchiano's tweet (i won't say where he was from but it was Maine... prolly a Pats fan) like "OH AND THEY BROUGHT THE WEED! FRONT LEFT!" to which Vacchiano responded, "not a giants player".

most of the hate comes from people mad that they do their off days better. "they fly to Miami and party on a boat on their off day. You rake leaves and go to the hardware store on your off day. Your off day ain't an off day...just a day you don't go to your job."

This shit got me very agitated this morning.

and ran routes in Lambeau naked. Man, as delicious as this is for me to see the Giants fail...that trip did not cause them to fuckin play this way. They will get cooked for it and I'll enjoy every minute, but it's not the reason. OBJ has had drops in previous games this season...the second Dallas game comes to mind. Just so happened, they won...and he didn't go to South Beach during the week.

Nothing they would have done Monday was gonna change this. They nutted up in the clutch and I don't believe the boat trip was the reason. If you want to pin it on that...God bless.

Does Odell go to Miami every weekend? Then you would have a leg to stand on. Otherwise, stop defending this shit. It was a distraction.

Answer this man. Did he go to Miami every week this year? If he did, we could've ignored it. But he didn't, he had a photo shoot, and he had the WORST GAME OF HIS CAREER.

For real man, stop defending it. Terrible look. Even if it's NOT the reason he dropped so many balls, it's an easy target. They shoulda stayed their ass home. They have all the time in the world for Miami now

Keep making excuses for that man. I'm not gonna do that tho.

He's absolutely capable of making those catches but he decided to hit Miami and try to make his own W magazine cover.

I don't need to answer a question. I watched every game this year. He had his WORST FAME OF THE YEAR!!!!!! and why? Yeah. Bc his ass was too worried about his Miami trip and the dance had had after his catch instead of making. The. Catch.

A 10-0 lead would've made the Giants a huge favorite. He dropped it and they never had a lead after. But please continue coppin pleas

And if odell catches a td the Giants secondary stays with GB WRS for 15 seconds.

And Rainey toe taps better on that kickoff.

And wing punts better.

Right on.

why are you flat out ignoring that? do you know how games operate with 10 point leads? it is completely different.

i dont give a SHIT what Odell does on Mondays, it was a different Monday than he had his entire NFL career bc he had THE WORST GAME OF HIS CAREER!
"thanks"
yes, if Odell catches a TD, they go up 10, and the defense most likely continues playing well. and even if they had given up a td on the next possession, they wouldve STILL HAD THE LEAD.

the game completely changed after he dropped the gimme TD. playoff games are lost on plays like that.

but yeah man, ignore it all, blame some kickoff play or something.

But that's besides the point. Odell sucked. You have no compelling argument that he wouldnt have sucked if he ain't party with beiber

After doing that, they certainly can't complain about being roasted.

Which is fine. They basically asked for it by doing that.

But the people who will try to pin the loss on this BS.......they are being a special type of dramatic.

i actually love odell. i think he's a generational talent. he's one of my favorite nfl players and i defend him constantly in arguments with my brother-in-law who can't stand him.

but i can also be objective and critical about players i like, unlike most of the blind dickrider niggas who post here.

this was just a bad look. he opened the window for all the dumb shit that's about to ensue (and it WILL be dumb, we def agree on that)

he didn't play poorly and they didn't lose the game because of the miami trip, but he needlessly opened up that lane. and now the criticism will be a grillion times what it would've been if they'd just lost. HE did it. niggas need to be realistic about that, and not just blame "the media".

I thought you were on the same page as some of the hot take simpletons that thought the boat trip was the reason they lost the game today. I see that you're saying they are going to get grilled extra for the social media stuff. That's more than fair; you have to be able to take the brunt of the negative attention if you put yourself in the spot light to being with. I would hope Odell is smart enough to be aware of that at this point in his career.

idgaf what these niggas do on their off day.

but if you do that, and then lose, you're going to get fried. no two ways about it. so it's kind of silly to complain afterwards that you're somehow being treated unfairly.

now i honestly don't anticipate him complaining about it, i think he knows the deal. i'm just saying that his fans/defenders shouldn't complain either.

But ultimately, the Giants lost because of all three aspects of play, so there's really no point in arguing about the boating matter at this point.

The lazy hot take stuff from media blowhards doesn't mean much to me.

Speaking of the game itself, did Beckham make mistakes on the field? Yes he did. Did he cause the mistakes from the Giants defensive and special team coverage teams? Hard for me to believe he had a hand in those two aspects. If you want to get mad about social media pictures on a party boat, do you.

The team lost by more than four points. I'm not saying he didn't make mistakes, but to act as if he's the lone person to make mistakes or that he cost the Giants the game is just flat out untrue. The Giants made mistakes in all three aspects of the game and I can't find it in myself to think Beckham has that much control over the Giants.

Would Larry Fitzgerald have done this? Steve Smith? Anquan Boldin? I'm thinking of great wideouts of recent years who personify professionalism. Guarantee you ask steve Smith if he would've gone to Miami the Monday before a road playoff game he'd say something like "Miami will be there in the offseason" or something.

It matters.

Y'all know how shitty flying is? Now try it when you're presumably already nursing aches and pains - train to and from Washington on Sunday, flight to and from Miami on Monday, flight to Green Bay on Friday...that Miami jaunt looks a lot dumber when you consider all of that week's travel.

OBJ went out and laid a turd. Bad bad bad look.

you know the media so do that on the low. If the media hubbub caused a distraction this week, then yeah it goes back to the players. I blame Victor Cruz as the vet leader more than Odell and Shep tho.

But c'mon they ain't drop balls for that reason lol.

It was likely moreso the cold or they shrunk in the playoffs.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.
