All Kerrigan did on that final play was hesitate for a slight instant on the snap and then run by Tobin without even the slightest of touches. If there was ever an appropriate moment for a cross-sports analogy with Chucky Atkins revolving door defensive policy, this would be it. no guaranteed contracts and growing public distaste for the trauma associated with football, yet the NFL lets this stuff happen unmitigated every week. if anyone got suspended for a game, hell even a half, they might reconsider.

..it was poor judgement by douglas and could've easily resulted in serious injury. *start handing out suspensions for plays like that, and you'll see a dramatic decrease in that area (players might brush off a fine, but not a game).
that said, the talib should be suspended for at least one game. i appreciate the fact that he's passionate and wanted to send a msg, but the league can't tolerate moves like that either.
the sad thing is that talib should know better by now. he's far too valuable to jeopardize his availability.
