i like lavine, a lot more than i did when he came out of college, but he's become overrated as shit. it's like people only see the dunk vines.

his shooting has come along a little faster than i thought it would, but his passing and decision making are still underwhelming, he doesn't rebound well for his position, he's a well below average defender, and he doesn't really mesh well with their two cornerstones.

his ceiling is prolly "more athletic jr smith". i'd seriously consider moving him if i was running that team. it's a very similar situation to MCW in philly, where i think they could get a nice return on him because some other team overvalues him and thinks he's better than he really is.

i can only imagine what his percentages would look like playing off of KAT and wiggins.

he'll be fine once he grows into that role. i don't necessarily think he'll be a cog either, or a great all-around player, but i do think he'll be an elite scorer.

i wasn't saying "coming along", on some head-pat attaboy shit.

i said his shot has come along faster than i thought it would. meaning, coming out of school i knew he'd develop into a good shooter, i just didn't expect it to happen this quickly.

He tryna throw JR out there like Zach is remotely similar to JR psychology. JR one of the most talented guys I've ever seen but he crazy. Oh well.

Todd Day and Larry Hughes were just bitches. Some niggas problems ain't skill. Todd, Ajr and Larry three of the most talented niggas I've ever seen and none maxed out for different reasons.

Zach work hard and he got the tools.

In response to Reply # 0

I'm a fan of Devin but he came in as the next Klay and isn't shooting that well.
Zach came in as an out of control point guard with questions about his shot, was played out of position for a year, and is now settling into the shooting guard role. His shot is better than many give him credit for.

Neither of them fill up the stat sheet.

GMs seem to favor Devin's attitude/intelligence. Ultimately, that's the key between these guys becoming legit #1 or #2 options or being guys who will score a lot on losing teams until becoming successful sixth men later in their careers. And it's tough to make that call with what we know as fans and not being in the locker room, knowing these guys.

I also think optics plays a part. LaVine comes off as kind of a lanky ball of energy; Booker like Beal is put together/moves more like a protoypical SG and it helps his rep.

Ultimately though, I wouldn't want to heavily invest in any of the young SGs right now. Devin, LaVine, Beal, Dipo, CJ, Fournier, Hood, etc. I don't think there's a franchise player in the group. I'd rather invest elsewhere and have a stop gap.

They would be better off if they switched teams since Booker can run the offense alongside Dunn (Rubio is boarder-line unplayable when KAT is posting up) while LaVine can run & gun in Phoenix w/ Bender/Chriss.

WHAT'S GOOD *****? What's REALLY good?!?!????!!! Ha HA!

We know Booker is a padder. not a shocker. I expect more of the same in the last 3 weeks of the season.

And Zach is a padder himself, no one scored more when his team was down 20 than Zach. He would just come down and rise up, I mean he's the best shooter on the team, but it's still padding.

the injuries to the starting lineup.

He's going to be a huge problem for defenses once he gets pieces around him. Dude has a complete all around game on the offensive end. The athleticism/driving ability mixed with his solid shooting from all over the court should make him elite.
