"OKP Survivor XII - (Week 5.5): The Giving Thanks Rankings"
Wed Nov-23-16 11:54 AM by auragin_boi

****Payments Update****
Paid + Penalty ($64)
Boogs
RBO

Delinquent:
-The Champ

You have until 11:59pm EST on November 30th to get me the fee without further penalty.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Week 5.5 Rankings:
Rank. Team (GM)(Last Rank)(Record, Avg)
1. Tribeca HiBrows (Ern)(3)(8-4, 302.8)
Thankful that Brows injury 'scares' haven't kept him out for an extend time...yet (knee, quad, etc) THIS is why I was terrified to draft him.
2. Northeast DC Trade Guerillas (Magilla)(6t)(9-3, 286.2)
Thankful to be relevant 5 weeks into the season. Could this really be the year that Magilla becomes a factor?
3. Coney Island Bad Boys VII: Rejuvenated (Dep. Commish)(5)(8-4, 285.3)
Thankful for his division. While he's won 4 in a row, everyone else is on multi game L streaks.
4. Stanley Forms a Wall (Boogs)(4)(7-5, 280.4)
Thankful Al Horford and Collison are back. Now if only George Hill would heal up.
5. Earthquake State Degenerate Gamblers (Ryan)(11)(7-5, 273.5)
Thankful Pat Bev is back now that Collison is making Lawson decline in production.
6. Oakland Cardpullers (Mr.Hood)(8)(6-6, 278.2)
Thankful to be a coasting rook who's skating by on a decent avg. He officially has the weirdest line up setting in the league.
7. Duval County Plumlords (Frank)(2)(6-6, 280.7)
Thankful for Wilson Chandler. He'll single-handedly stabilize the F core's minutes. Couldn't hurt to have some insurance though.
Also, I have to say, I was wrong as Frazier is STILL looking good even with Jrue back. I wonder if it'll keep up when Tyreke returns.
8. Restown Smerf City Slamz (Smerf)(6t)(7-5, 265.2)
Thankful for a fast start. That 6-1 start has helped ease into the 1-3 stretch.
9. Houston Hardhead Kickdoe CHAMPS (The Champ)(15)(5-7, 280.5)
Thankful for Jimmy Butler. Hoiberg's minutes management has allowed Jimmy be fresher and more energized on both ends of the floor which has turned him into a WS beast. And don't look now but the Champ is back in it!
10. Chi.ESL Commissioners (The Commish)(12)(6-6, 269.6)
Thankful for...Hot streaking guards. If I get ONE that can sustain it for the season (a la Ish Smith last season)...oh boy!
11. ex. Detroit ex. Pistons (Ceej)(1)(7-5, 260.1)
Thankful to have tasted the #1 spot for the first time in his career. Too bad the reign on top was shorter than a midget hobbit. 2-5 since 5-0 start.
12. Skid Row SoulHonky (SoulHonky)(14)(6-6, 266.1)
Thankful that Jrue's back. I mean 41.1 FPPG @ 1.56 FPPM. Yeesh. And right on time with George and Russell banged up.
13. L.A. Major Keys (RBO)(10)(4-8, 265.7)
Thankful for...James Harden? Man, his C rotation is kinda garbo and ditto for his F's. If Turner ain't hot (which he's at 1.02 his last 5), it looks grim.
14. Cerritos Bad Hombres (Shawn)(13)(3-9, 273.5)
Thankful for the waiver wire. I hate this dude, mainly because he's so damn keen at this. It's really annoying. Too bad it hasn't resulted in another finals appearances (ha!).
So last month, was gonna pick up Tyler Johnson, Shawn scooped him. Then I flirted with stashing Mudiay, Shawn grabs him RIGHT when he gets hot (after I dropped him a game early and came back to get him). :-/
Thought about Jonathan Gibson, Shawn already has him on his roster. Ugh! Now Reggie is practicing and Lin is about to return. You SHOULD win our bet. We'll see though:
Bet #1: Winning 273.5 to 269.6
Bet #2: Winning (2 up, 2 down)
1-Ibaka is gonna be at 1.23 or better (1.00 currently)
2-Lin is gonna be at 1.18 FPPM or better (1.4 currently)
3-Parker is gonna jump .15 fppm to 1.06 FPPM (1.12 currently)
4-AND Jamal Murray is gonna be over 1.00 FPPM (0.85 currently)
At least if I'm wrong about Murray, it'll pay off for me
15. Theodelphia Theventy-Thixers (Theo)(9)(5-7, 257.8)
Thankful Thor Thords That Thart Thith TH? This is one of the weakest teams I've ever seen Theo assemble. I mean, it's not because of injury. This team is just sucky outside of Giannis. I mean, there's 'some' stuff there but minus The Greek Freak, this team is battling TJT for worst of the year.
16. Philadelphia Peasants (TJT)(16)(2-10, 248.6)
Thankful to avoid a winless season? This just won't get any better. Smh.
probably should have pulled the trigger earlier, but now i'm confident.
dangling some combo of MCW (returning to court next week), Manu (will he return to 1.2?), Zeller (1.2, but how much time does he get?), Frye, and King Joffrey (he's back!).
in some combination for >20 minutes of reliable C minutes.
-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.
Besides the obvious russy(hi magilla), i won my last 2 games by by a combined 4 points while putting up 220 and 240. Noah picked it up right when nurk started struggle, then noah got sick at the same time hawes hit my lineup and got tick.
Russ been more than adequately covering for my sub 1. guards smh.
now i just need sully back in january with no setbacks.
if you care about high scores and regular season avg then what youre saying is true, but to win it all thats much more of a factor. With that said, there are a lot of other luck elements that go into it.
As much as I love my team right now and the potential it has if and when reggie get back, i dont have a guy who can really drop a bomb on you for those huge scores. So my high scores will generally be lower. I have to hope for being consistently 285+ in a series against a team like you.
I figured russy would be around 1.85 not realizing he almost did that last season.
I don't think he will finish at 2.00, but it wouldn't be overly shocking if he did.
Still think he tapers off s the season progresses and finishes at 1.9. I think the rebounding numbers will drop at a point.
Hmmm...gonna have to work this G rotation all year and gamble on C come ups but yeah, lookin' good. Now if only Longo's remaining 2 guys can suck for a game and Robin Lopez plays like Robin Lopez, I might run off 7 straight.
Oh and...
Cerritos: 5-11, 274.4
ChiESL: 10-6, 282.6
1-Ibaka is gonna be at 1.23 or better (1.04 currently)
2-Lin is gonna be at 1.18 FPPM or better (1.4 currently)
3-Parker is gonna jump .15 fppm to 1.06 FPPM (1.06 currently, trending down)
4-AND Jamal Murray is gonna be over 1.00 FPPM (0.86 currently, trending up)
being able to be at and maintain 270 with all the injuries + people coming back is huge.
I didnt estimate your huge jump the last 2 weeks but neither did you given how you conceded the day the jump happened.
All I can worry about is my team and it seems as if Jeremy and Reggie will be back soon. With those guys just around 1.2 my scoring will hit around the 290 range.
Now...if they dont come back for another month....
I agree
>I didnt estimate your huge jump the last 2 weeks but neither
I knew my team's avg would skyrocket once normalcy set in. Rose is better this year, Curry and Zaza started the year adjusting and then my 2nd G (Barton) got hurt. The site said I should be in the low 290's and that's exactly what I expected. The reason I think you SHOULD win our bet is because of Lin. Reggie coming back was a given but Lin's overachieving is what worries me. I figured he'd get injured with more usage too (ding!) but his efficiency is surprising. Hopefully I can build a big enough avg lead that you won't be able to catch up.
The key to the other bet for you is Jabari. Hopefully he ends the year in the mid 90's or low 1.00's which is where he seems to be right now. I don't think Ibaka has it in him and Murray has a shot at 1.00 but I'd guess .90's by years end.
Both should be back within a week I think. But I think Lin will get hurt again.
Jabari is up and down but I think he trends right around 1.06 unless he hits a major coldspell. They seem to be defining roles there and hes getting some consistency. Hisg big games are usually big enough to balance his bad games which are USUALLY not terrible.
Ibaka is playing a lot better lately--especially since the lineup change. I just dont know if he can make up all the ground he gave up early. I can see him end up at a respectable 1.10-1.15 given where he started, but thats still short of the bigger projection. The other problem is when he has bad games so far, theyre BAD games.
Thats why im ok with him taking more time now. Hamstrings are tricky and he can end up tweaking it again and be out for another extended period. Yikes.
In response to Reply # 64
But in any event, are you saying your team would be losing anyway so that's why you didn't draft the best player maybe in survivor history?
-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.
wouldve liked 1 more week full practice but since theyve been playing well Im sure they can ease him in like Jrue and Collison did. Start with some bench minutes and ease in.
I dont want a Bayless situation with him and Lin.
Now just waiting for D'Angelo to come back.
(Although now I guess Jrue is banged up.)
