"Giannis and the Garbage Pail Kids?"

His numbers so far:

23.2 9.5 5.8 2 and 1 on 51% shooting.

On the court the Bucks are +10 and in the 49 minutes he hasn't played, they're -30.

Given that bsides him and Bari no one can score, the kid is killing folks.

He keeps this up, he's top 15 right?

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

Ive watched him play at least 200 times and he is quite good at putting the ball in the basket, and last year he was close to as good as he has ever been.

So you bitching about the first 5 games of the season comes across as pretty myopic.

Altho thats your whole posting style so i guess there is no point in paddling upstream here.

Greg Monroe is great off the bench cause he has to be the center of the offense to do anything, which is why he's also a bad starter.

This year he's shooting 43% on 9 shots a game in 21 minutes. He also is getting 3 offensive rebounds in that same time. His offensive game consists of backing someone down, and either hitting a cutter or a spot up shooter, or taking the ball in, missing, getting his own board and going back up. That is what he's always done.

He's also a bad defender, though he is trying so far this year

A 3 and D guy to ofset Giannis and Jabari's lack of shooting is exactly what they needed.

I love the Delly signing, don't understand signing Plumlee for that deal and am whatever on Mirza.

The East may be bad enough for them to sneak into the playoffs though. And if they do,its all Giannis

Too bad it's all for nothing seeing as the Bucks' main priority in the draft and free agency is picking up guys who have the same agent as Jason Kidd.

and my apologies since you appear to be a true Milwaukee Bucks fan, but dude deserves a Nobel Peace Prize if he actually stays with the Bucks for his entire career.

Hopefully the front office will get some great players around him so he doesn't waste his prime years getting next to no attention from national TV audience because the team itself is middling.

He's extended through 2021, at which point he'll be 25 and in or approaching his prime. Everything we know about the Bucks indicates that he leaves for a true contender at that point.

The reason I think there's a chance he stays is because of the work Herb Kohl put in to get his family visas. And the fact the organization has done everything possible for them to settle here.

Shit, the GM taught him how to drive. They care about him.

In response to Reply # 0

Right today, this team is .500. And that's with the re-animated corpse of Jason Terry playing serious minutes every night. They've got superstar Giannis, Parker, and some role-players with some upside. Delly will be... servicaeble. Add Middleton back to the mix, add there's a lot to be hopeful for.

If they draft well, there's no reason at all to think that this team is going to waste the Greek's talents. Especially considering that he is signed until 2021. There's not a lot of teams in the East that are built to last (obviously Cleveland, then like Toronto and Boston) and the Bucks really should be able to put something together during these next few seasons.

They really don't need much more than time

I guess a rim protecting big who does t need touches would be nice along with a shooter

I wouldn't really depend much on Middleton after that kind of injury.

Brogdon seems like a good hybrid g to play next to giannis with some depth via delly who will be there when you need a hard nosed, scrappy player.

I remember when bulls fans kept acting like snell was absolute trash. He's been one of the pieces this team really needed.

That's runaway best of any big in the league, including Gobert.

He can also actually stay with quick guards out on the perimeter on switches.

I just saw him last week not be able to be caught by a sprinting Ty Lawson, who he had just stolen the ball from, while running directly behind him dribbling on a break.

It takes the dude about two steps from in between the college three and the free throw line to get to the rim if he decides to go full stride to it.

He's 7'3" shoots 80% from the line and about two weeks ago was shooting 50% from three.

He scored the same amount of points as Giannis last night, with ten less field goal attempts, added five blocks and altered countless others.

I actually watched Batum take an up-and-down Friday night, rather than try to shoot a runner while driving on Embiid.

Not sure I've ever seen that on an NBA court before.

Every night he does something I've yet to see.

The Sixers headed into the weekend, were according to Zach Lowe, +12 for the season and something like -300 with him off of it (check the joint with Van Gundy for the actual number, it was comical).

He then went +25 Friday night and +13 yesterday.

In between, without him in DC on a back-to-back, they lost to the Wizards by 17 and were down 30 at points.

Joel Embiid has played less than 200 organized basketball games in his life, 28 at the NBA level, all while never playing more than 28 minutes due to the organization wanting to be extra cautious.

If you guarantee me both Embiid & Giannis' health, there is absolutely no way in hell that I trade JoJo for that guy.

Ever.

categorical per-game counting stats, while averaging seven more minutes a night and in his fourth season in the league, congrats.

There is nothing dude is better than Embiid at that actually matters, already, 28 games in.

I don't blame them for not watching the Sixers enough to understand that yet.

I meant what I said and look forward to all y'all coming to see the light that your boy Nostrabombus tried to hip these cats to, EARLY!(c)Philadelphia Freeway

there are other reasons too. Giannis is a top 10 player. But the gap is so much smaller that it has any right to be. healthy *forever knock knock knocking on heaven's wood* embiid is insane right now, and he's going to get better, and if you doubt it you haven't watched him.

He's better.

Better shooter. Better defender. Bigger impact on his team's bottom line when he's on the court, with a far lesser cast. And he doesn't even really know how to fully play yet.

Embiid healthy will be the best player in the league within 2-3 years, with an impact on his team beyond what Giannis' will ever be.

Shaq and MJ weren't but they were scoring champs in the discussion.

LeBron was by the time he was like 24, which Embiid would be, except he'd be 7'3" taking 14 free throws a night while knocking down 11-12 of them.

Nobody's ever played less before coming into the league and dominated more in less minutes in his first quarter of his first season either, so I really take nothing off the table if he's healthy.

By his third year LeBron is going to be 35 years old and playing in his fifteenth season.

I'm not worried about any of the other young big guys, Anthony Davis included, being better than Embiid by that point, the best guys right now will have already peaked, and it's on like Donkey Kong, feet and Basketball Gods willing.

but we had no answer for Giannis. Got just about every shot he wanted. Foul trouble shut him down.

The Bucks were coming home from Atlanta for the second of back-to-back afternoon games. That's something Embiid just hasn't had to deal with yet.

I'm not saying Embiid won't be awesome, but until he starts playing an actual NBA schedule I don't think he can say stuff like he's gonna be best in the league in three years.
