This story reminded me of an anecdote Amin Elhassan gave on the True Hoop podcast about Michael Beasley.

Amin said that Beasley is a supremely talented guy, but for whatever reason he just has never 'gotten it' or the light bulb that goes off when a player recognizes that there is a point where his potential alone won't keep him in the league any more and is going to have to perform at a high level to keep his spot.

I keep wondering if Russell is going to be the same way, especially after hearing story after story about how immature he is relative to other players of his age.
