"The White QB's Shame: The Brock Osweiler Agenda Post"

This guy makes Jake Locker, Matt Ryan and Jay Cutler look like Asiatic Warriors who had to prove themselves over and over again when every coach they'd ever had wanted to turn them into corners and receivers.

What in the everloving fuck did anyone ever see in this loser when he couldn't beat out a goddamned cripple in Denver? His coach won't even let this loser throw fun balls to DeAndre fucking Hopkins. I never want this loser on my TV again. He makes Alex Smith look like Brett Favre

Really surprised by the game plan from Houston. Have a quicker receiver run the patterns Griffin was running and they could have caused some trouble.

In response to Reply # 1

through seven starts:

Hoyer
- 59.7% completion
- 237 YPG (6.7 YPA)
- 14 TD (5 INT)
- 90.4 QB rating

Osweiler
- 58.2% completion
- 219 YPG (5.7 YPA)
- 8 TD (8 INT)
- 71.9 QB rating

Osweiler is playing with better skill position teammates as well. Hoyer's number two receiver last season was Nate Washington and leading rusher was Alfred Blue (3.8 YPC).

same for bad white QBs most of the time. The inflated passing stats of this era make that easier even but it's always been true. I think teams look for things in their game that simply aren't there, at least on a consistent basis. It's pretty rare when black QBs are given the same breathing room with their jobs though.

But extremely inconsistent with his accuracy, much of that due to inconsistent mechanics....dude was erratic into big windows while the starter for Denver.

Fuck tall... this ain't basketball. Can the motherfucker throw a pass on target? Can he make the right reads? Can he not do dumb stuff while on the field (i.e. running right into hits)

Don't talk to me about a dude being tall at QB.

Did you see any blocking?

A run game?

Any schemes to free up the receivers who clearly the Patriots had schemed to shut down while leaving the underneath stuff?

I mean, he certainly didn't help but it's like people have never actually watched football before.

Apparently, any solid QB can just go out and put up numbers against Bill Belicheck in Foxboro, even if their coach is a moron, their run game is going backwards, their line is being overwhelmed and their special teams turns the ball over twice in a half, on their own side of the field.

Do tell

Last year he has an 86.4 rating as a first year starter coming in due to injury. 10 Tds. 6 picks. 62% completions.

Doesn't seem awful but please enlighten me.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

is he's Captain Checkdown (his 5.7 YPA would be the lowest qualifying NFL number in two years) but he can't even hit 60 percent of those. how bad do you have to be to miss over 40 percent of your screen passes, outlet dump-offs and quick slants? Osweiler bad.

In response to Reply # 0

behind Case Keenum and just ahead of Ryan Fitzpatrick and Blaine Gabbert.*

he's also still the only qualifying quarterback to average less than 6 YPA (5.7 YPA). while still completing less than 60 percent (59.5) of his passes. his volume of short, inaccurate passes is unprecedented in the current era of inflated quarterback stats.

*which is actually even worse than the number suggests. 19 quarterbacks have a QB rating over 90 this season, compared to 1995, when only eight quarterbacks could pass that threshold. even a 80.0 QB rating is quite bad these days.

It's often wrong and subject to lots of bias. He got wins in Denver bc the defense kept them in games and he made enough throws to win games, but that doesn't change the reality that he was very inaccurate into relatively big windows.
