"Without a time machine, all we have are the facts..."

the facts have proven that The Young Legend was better than Steph THEN (see below) and he's better than steph NOW (see 2016 NBA Finals).

i look forward to the future.

Kyrie whoooped that ass when it matter, and prior to we were all talking that talk. I for one believe that Curry CAN come back next season and get revenge on Kyrie however, right today, talking bout where they were drafted is weak.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

When he wins an MVP and is the best player on a champion, then the discussion can happen. For now the argument should be over who is the better #2...Kyrie or Klay.

no one knew this day was coming when they were poplocking after dion would shoot 20+ times and hit the rim on about 15 of those.

no one knew alonzo gee would be gone one day.

like, we didn't know.

an ENTIRE NARRATIVE got blown to bits with one SI Cover.

and then the narrative after that (third wheel behind bron and love, gotta learn to distribute and get less shots) got destroyed.

and then the narrative after THAT (cavs best chance at beating GS is without him).

dogg, a LOT has happened in the last two years and i don't think people have fully processed it. some people are clearly posting like they're in shock or something.

like its debatable. You qualified it by saying "all things being equal" whatever the fuck that means. Like one playoff series totally nullifies the ridiculous regular season Curry had. And I was never one of those people that rode Curry's nuts like that but I felt like I had to let you know how ignorant you sound. You're comparing a Robin to a Batman.

last season and I thought it wasn't debatable...and damn, i sure was wrong.

All things being equal meaning if their respective situations were similar, right now kyrie is #2, Curry is/was #1 guy on his sqaud. I feel like if they were both in similar situations, and/or if i had a team to build from scratch i'd rather have Curry than Kyrie.

But to act like its not even debatable after what Kyrie just did to Curry for 7 games is crazy.

guarding bc they were hiding him. And kyrie still got busy on klay and whenever ky was guarded by curry he scored, including the series clincher.

Dude, don't come with this argument 2 months later like we didn't all see and remember. I was rooting for curry and the dubs as much as any other non warrior fan, but what you are doing right now is pathetic.

Both of you forget to mention that Steph took himself out of games in the Finals because of foul trouble. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I remember at least two games when that occurred.

I'd love to see that post from earlier this year when it was asked if Steph was the league's best player and see what folks said then.

plus when you factor in they tried to hide curry all series and Ky still hit the series clincher in his grill...i really don't understand what dudes are arguing in here.

to see if Steph looks to distribute the ball more next year. If that's the case, I wonder how much that'll diminish Draymond's role on the offensive end since he got a ton of triple doubles based on the fact Steph didn't dish the ball like a pro-typical point guard is supposed to.

He's going to have to clean up a ton of the sloppy passing he committed in the playoffs last year. Hopefully losing the ring humbled him to the point he'll look to improve in that aspect.

I was reading a post of yours recently and legit thought "this is the angriest winningest dude ever!"

But, just to speedbump (cuz people use to do this to MJ with that 'same age' comparison), Kyrie DID come out after his freshman year. The Davidson Hero came into the league after his junior year. (though even thru 5 yrs, Kyrie did more than Curry as far as Patches go). 'Rie gotta get another ring and a few MVP's over the next 2 seasons to keep up the pace of being better though.

Bron gotta lay the table for him this season (which I think he already started doing at the championship party speech) to get that 1st MVP.

We'll see.

Oh and by the way...you coming back to survivor this year?

now he seem legit happy and chilling to me.

At least wait for the regular season to start up again where we have something more recent.

not one person who engaged in it. not one. it was supposed to be empty stats and a few all-star games, while cavs front office fumbled around with gordon hayward and prolly bring in a joe johnson vet a lil later. just enough to get him in the playoffs and leave him spinning his wheels like wall and lillard will for the rest of their careers.

but a funny thing happened...

and here we are. unable to accept this reality.

it's sad.

It's the summer of kyire/bron. Niggas need to just accept that and wait for next season to start.

3 point champion, whooptydamndoo (c) DC. That makes him a better three-point shooter than Steph? In no universe is that true.

Gold medal? Swap them and there's no difference. Winning a gold medal for the U.S. means nothing, it's like the Globetrotters beating the Generals and putting it on their resume.

Kyrie outplayed the fuck out of him in the Finals, no doubt about it. Trying to juke the numbers in some arbitrary way with age (one guy came out as a freshman, the other as a junior, for openers) is not selling anybody who an ounce of critical thinking.

Ask any GM who'd they want right today (c) WC going into next season and they'd still take Steph. Kyrie played with a ton of heart on bad knees last year and he took a *huge* step forward in his career this year. Steph is a guy who is in the conversation for the best player in the world, the best shooter of all-time, etc, and he has two MVPs plus a ring. Get your partying in now though, you deserve for standing by him through thi--and oh, wait, you bailed entirely when your agenda failed so please STFU.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

who's saying that? you seem really annoyed by a fact. the fact is kyrie BEAT STEPH in 2013 to win that 3 point contest.

SMH...DAMN!

he did?!?!?!

Trying to juke the numbers in some arbitrary way
>with age (one guy came out as a freshman, the other as a

how's this for crtical thinking. one guy was good enough to come out as a frosh and be the #1 pick and one wasn't. one guy was good enough to accomplish a RACK of shit before 25 and another guy wasn't. OH WELL!

>Ask any GM who'd they want right today (c) WC going into next
>season and they'd still take Steph.

I BET you that's not true. keep acting like having the second best shooter in the L don't mean shit for steph. it does. he ain't the same without that system or klay. GS has maximized his abilities. ty lue has now maxmized kyrie's abilities. wanna know how he did it...by accepting what kyrie is and no longer lamenting what he isn't. kyrie has a greenlight to skull fuck ANYONE guarding him the same way steph has a greenlight to launch 30 footers.

Kyrie played with a ton of
>heart on bad knees last year and he took a *huge* step forward
>in his career this year.

whatever. kyrie was healthy during the finals after playing his way into shape for 3 months. don't act like he LEARNED some shit. he had a better coach and health. period.

Steph is a guy who is in the
>conversation for the best player in the world, the best

man, i don't give a fuck. kyrie busted his ass and will KEEP busting his ass.

etc, and he has two MVPs plus a ring. Get

i left because he appeared to blow his knee against the indiana pacers on 12-31-13 and i was mad. he was 21. earl clark and cj miles were in the starting lineup.

and you thought i was mad my "agenda" which was a fucking STEM CELL at that point, had "failed"?

you mad, chuck. simple and plain.

what exactly is it that you're mad about?

that Kyrie needed Bron to even enter into this conversation?

Yes, but the impact of a bad or mediocre coach in the NBA and the NFL are not really comparable.

In NFL; coaches are widely considered to be more important than any player on the team, unless he is an established superstar. No one is firing Jason Garrett because Zeke Elliott is struggling or not happy. And Jason Garrett aint nobody.

In the NBA, MOST coaches are widely considered fungible and any young player with star potential has much greater value than in the NFL.

On top of that, mediocre or bad NBA coaching might hold a star back from reaching his FULL potential but a star should look like a star no matter what. Doug Collins isn't going to keep Jordan from Jordaning. Meanwhile, in the NFL, a bad coach/team situation could mean you don't even play or ever see the ball, period.

Dame Lillard hasn't had any coaches worth a damn since he came in the league. He is still doing his thing. His teammates are Krabbe and your favorite, Alonzo Gee, he still doing his thing.

Apples and oranges IMO.

as if kyrie wasn't a multi-all star and ROY star WITH terrible coaches and a terrible GM?

dame's had ONE COACH this whole time. i don't care how "terrible" he's been. his environment is "STABLE"

and you used examples from the top. some damn jordan and zeke elliot and dame.

what about chauncey billups? you think joe dumars was gon be a HOF 6-3 shooting guard just any ol' where?

what about alex smith?

No, we both already know I think he is better. I wrote that to point out that comparing the impact of coaching in the NFL and NBA is a fool's errand.

Different conversation, I'd be happy to have. But we (or at least, I) am talking about relative significance of coaching in the NFL vs the NBA.

Those guys are superstars?

Is Alex Smith even a "star"? After all these years and all this great coaching (Harbaugh & Reid) Alex Smith is a decent player. He's pretty good, kinda?

Coaching in the NFL is, for better or worse, almost everything. A talented player is a prisoner of his coaching staff. No one may ever know you are good if you are in the wrong place.

Coaching in the NBA matters, but it's not that. If you can really play, people will see it. And if you are a superstar?? Sheeeiiit, unless Feel, Riley or some other living legend is on the sideline, you are the fucking coach and the GM

all i said was that same people who complain in NFL threads when a young player don't pop their first few seasons are the same ones who partied when kyrie couldn't "lead" an undermanned team to the playoffs and never developed as a distributor. now that he's had the same coach for a couple season, he's started to grow as a distributor.

that's all i said. now, we off in the woods somewhere. you have fun with all that.
