He just getting accolades because he's likeable and avg'd 30.

Klay and Dray make more, they SHOULD do the heavy lifting.

He still playing with house money though. Tell me you thought light bright young spice was gonna be anywhere NEAR a back to back MVP and NBA Champ...you can't.

Nobody thought (nor should they STILL think) his ceiling was as high as Kyrie's. That J flame, handles ain't elite but MUCH better than when he came in the league and he's playing with GREAT teammates.

I don't see him as a fraud, he's an overachiever...was in college, is in the pros. Series DID exploit a few of his weaknesses (marginal bball IQ outside of scoring, avg/below avg defender, trouble getting his shot off when he's muscled). He should and likely will work on those things over the summer.

He DOES play with apathy though. He gives off this aura of 'rich-kid-who-only-half-way-cares-about-basketball' vibe on the court. I was actually happy to see him throw the mouthpiece...actually showed he cared about it for a sec.

LMAO at the link up tho...he SHOULD have thrown an oop.

You CANNOT take the credit without being willing to take
the CRITICISM. That's NOT the way it works.

>He just getting accolades because he's likeable and avg'd
>30.

LMAO @ "likeable"

He's the two-time MVP. He is held to a higher standard now
because that's what happens when you get the CREDIT.

>Klay and Dray make more, they SHOULD do the heavy lifting.

More than the MVP!?!?!?

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

>He still playing with house money though. Tell me you thought
>light bright young spice was gonna be anywhere NEAR a back to
>back MVP and NBA Champ...you can't.

That isn't the way it works, idiot

Once you get the praise, you have to wear the burden.

Nobody thought Jordan would be as good as he was, either.

And expectations when you're wrong make it HARDER for you,
not easier. Being able to just grow on your own without
the spotlight arguably makes it easier.

Lebron had the burden of the league from TOO EARLY.

>Nobody thought (nor should they STILL think) his ceiling was

He's 28. He is what he is at this point.

I criticized him IN my post. Nowhere did I say he was above criticism.

>LMAO @ "likeable"
>
>He's the two-time MVP. He is held to a higher standard now
>because that's what happens when you get the CREDIT.

He's the two time REGULAR SEASON MVP. He hasn't won anything in the playoffs. His standard can be high because of where he is now. But he wasn't expected to be anywhere near where he is now.

>More than the MVP!?!?!?
>
>BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

I was being facetious with the "his station on the team" because Basa BEEN saying Curry wasn't that tight until Klay came along and he recently pointed out Klay and Dray do the heavy lifting. So relatively, based on their salaries, that's actually appropriate. It was a joke dickhead.

>That isn't the way it works, idiot
>
>Once you get the praise, you have to wear the burden.

And he does and is. Where did I say he doesn't deserve blame moron?

>Nobody thought Jordan would be as good as he was, either.

And?

>And expectations when you're wrong make it HARDER for you,
>not easier. Being able to just grow on your own without
>the spotlight arguably makes it easier.

Expectations when you're wrong make it harder for you? Huh? Who was wrong and how was it harder for them? I do agree that being able to develop away from the spotlight might make that journey easier though.

>Lebron had the burden of the league from TOO EARLY.

And everybody EXPECTED LeBron to be an MVP at some point. Multiple times even. NOBODY expected that for Curry. He overachieved. Regardless of the circumstances surrounding expectation. And I'd say given their natural talents, getting from point A to point B SHOULD have been easier for LeBron.

If I'm considering between two players, who'll make the bigger impact in the NBA and one is 6'8", 265lbs with tons of natural athletic ability and high bball IQ vs a 6'3", 175lbs, skinny perimeter shooter with limited athletic ability and marginal handles...I'm gonna go with the former.

>Bwahahahahahhahahahahahahhahahhahahahahah

Me too.

>He's 28. He is what he is at this point.

Yet he improved from 27 to 28.

i LOVE that i've made kyrie completely inaccessible to most posters on this board. he can't become community property like steph because most of y'all have shit on kyrie at some point out of pure spite...either because of being a cav, being a dukie or just a nigga i support. it's the same with klay. people can't even step back and appreciate what klay has become, because they wanna shit on him so bad, because they MAD i called that he'd be a great player.

so, please, keep laughing...i'mma win either way.

you will be thanking God steph got one title in a couple of years. watch.

Kyrie is in the perfect situation where all he really has to do is what he's borderline great at.....get buckets. That's it. Lebron got everything else, though Kyrie trying harder on defense is encouraging too.

If there was a one on one tournament in the league, Kyrie would be one of the favorites. He can score, and that's all he's gotta do as long as prime Lebron is on the team. Just enjoy it for what it is. No, he's not better than Isiah or Curry. No he's not the best PG in the league(he's not even really a PG). He's shining in the role he plays for his team, and that's really all that matters. I'm enjoying it for what it is.

In response to Reply # 39

I'm not talking shit on MCW being better than Tyus Jones or Austin Rivers or starting a Tyler Ennis vs. Tyus Jones agenda(maybe I should...might be fun) because it doesnt matter.

MCW has already overachieved on what he was supposed to be by winning rookie of the year. He came off the bench as a freshman and was picked 11(?) and has never been compared to Kyrie.

I dont think I'm giving Kyrie backhanded compliments. You take it that way because you want him to be the best player in the league(mentiononing Kobe, Isiah, Curry....cmon) and want to crown him as more than what he is. He is what he is. Great scorer, All Star level player(not this year, but that's injury/circumstance), who just balled out in the finals and made the winning shot in game 7! Nothing wrong with enjoying that for what it is, because it is major. The extra shit isnt necessary. It is fun though. Enjoy, I'm just not buying a lot of it.

because you werent on board in season. I won't be mad if you try to claim some Lydon stock before this season though.

Glad you got Giles, it helped us get Battle. We wont recruit on that same level, but we'll get our players and win our share of games.

When? Should get a nice contract this summer after playing the role his team asked him to pretty well.

I hope he signs a nice deal with a decent organization and stays motivated after getting big money. I think he'll be fine if he does.

Yes, Kyrie>Williams, I do recall my L there. Klay, Love, Jason Thompson, McLemore, all those are ones we agreed on. I don't recall too many other specific player vs player disputes or agendas.

Any player anyone has ever cysed>Anthony Bennett.

Everyone else was either hurt, subpar, or both that season....or just not good in the first place. Melo was great that year, one of his best seasons.

I only knocked Kyrie in year 3, and that was because he didn't play up to the level he was capable of.

You can try to blame Melo's questionable decisions for some of that(signing that first extension rather than getting himself to be a FA in 2010 and superteaming with Lebron, getting traded to NY rather than waiting and signing, re-signing in NY) but none of that has anything to do with him as an actual basketball player. His career decisions are really a seperate argument.

He hasnt had a lot to play with in his career. I believe he has had 4 seasons with an all star teammate(Iverson, Billups, Amare(Melo got traded to them that very season and Amare's body fell apart weeks later), and Chandler(same, and......cmon, he's a role player). You cant objectively point to ONE of his teams as being loaded with talent and underachieving due to Melo's play.

3. You mad insecure about your Duke love. Like,

you on it.

6. You think more about kyrie than is considered

I mean, I could go on but sh!t writes itself.

Enjoy the win, get a grip on real life.

I bet you were the one who wrote that MTO headline talking about some "NO BLACK GIRLS" tryna OJ my dude because you KNOW nothing you say about LeBron, whether it be LeRobot, LeBallhog, or LeBronze will stick. You gotta go to Neo-Kobe because he's the "vulnerable" one now, because he just made THE WORLD mad by hitting a game-sealing 3 pointer with less than a minute left over the "Purer PG" and Unanimous MVP.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPE

13 years and you still mad

and now Kyrie will be the funnel.

Kobe called it: The Cavs' lightning rod will be Kyrie Irving from here on out.

3 titles, 3 Finals MVPs, 4 regular season MVPs and counting, historic comeback Finals win against historic team for a team that had never won a title, in a city that hadn't won a title in over 5 decades, in a game 7 on the ROAD... LeBron James don't have to say shit anymore.

Now the hate will be directed to Kyrie.

This is a losing battle.
Don't end up like POOPINCHICAGO and catch more long term Ls

never mind you just tried to O_E Basa with that "not getting some pussy" charge, LMAO....

Yes, I'm mad. Let's move on.

Why did Iggy bring the ball down?

Steph sucked; not sure that play is a legit example of him doing something wrong.

EDIT: For those wondering, I've had a few beers, that why I'm responding to this like it's a post that involves logic or anything but agendas.

when kyrie first got back and lit john wall's ass up in DC, i ain't say a damn word. lebron caused a stir because he said ky was the best PG and was more than an all-star...he said he had MVP talent.

i ain't say a word. RBO was waiting for it. not a word.

RBO kept talking that brandon knight shit while ky was out. not a word from me.

i kept saying "i want everyone to stay healthy and we'll see what's what."

it ain't my fault i stuck to what i said and y'all mad. ain't like i partied about him beast-fucking reggie or teague or kyle. i kept quiet ALL YEAR.

we have reached the "ya'll just need some shit to say" stage of this reaping and i'm perfectly fine with that. it's hilarious.

Kyrie's first two years were very promising. Year 3 he was supposed to make the jump to an elite player and didnt quite do it.....and Basa signed off midseason. Year 4 Kyrie got LeBron, and he's back!

LOL....cmon. I enjoy his posts quite a bit, though many of them I dont take serious, and am glad he's back. But he bounced at a rough time....it is what it is.

Yeah, that's what you say. The injury wasnt that serious, and he got hurt every season since Duke. His 2015 playoffs injury was more serious than any of them and you didnt bounce. Cmon.

>kyrie better than every 'cuse player ever. so is grant hill.

LOL. You've been waiting so long to talk shit on that front. Bing and Melo have both achieved more in the NBA than Hill/Kyrie as individual players if you're being objective.

>and harry giles.

You didnt appear to know who Malachi Richardson was midseason, you get zero stock if he turns into anything.

that injury was so serious there was a Kyrie Knee Watch on twitter. He said he heard something pop and the trainers legit didn't know until the MRI.

yeah, he got hurt every season since Duke...he also became FIBA MVP, USA BASKTEBALL ATHLETE OF YEAR, ROY, AS MVP, ROOKIE GAME MVP, ALL-NBA, 3-time ALL-STAR and AN NBA CHAMP since then. damn, he crammed in a lot of shit between all those injuries. more shit than every 'cuse nigga COMBINED.

Exhibition games are what they are. Partying on injuries is wack though, no question. Glad that one was no big deal, and glad he's back 100 % from the playoffs injury. I was legit bummed out at that one.

what takes it to an epic level of mad-making is that our respective 'gendas coalesced brilliantly. So, not only are they mad at the ky/bron/doc cavs 'gendas individually - but now they have to deal with the coalescing of the factions - which guarantees a miserable board existence for the Hurt Lockers for years to come.

It was all worth it.

The lazy bounce pass from Curry slowed up Iggy, allowing JR to turn around and slow him up even more, which then allowed Bron to be a superhero and block the shot.

If the lob was thrown at the right time it goes right over JR, Iggy catches it without ever slowing down and Bron wouldn't have been anywhere near close to stopping it even with a foul.

That bounce pass was the best play that could've been made

It was text book

Hit him in stride

Throwing a lob in that scenario is doing too much

This ain't 2K

Iggys momentum would've carried him under the basket

And no, that bounce pass slowed Iggy's momentum allowing JR and then Bron to stop him from scoring. Simple as that. That's what happened, it's right there in the video.

A properly thrown lob takes his momentum straight to the rim without him sowing down at all.

He'd have snatched that oop right the outta that thick ass air!

Steph would have really been clowned then. Shit! Bron's johnson was at full chub as he followed Steph up the damned court. And his tongue was dripping hot spit in preparation of talking that Ultimate Warrior shit. Imagine if Kang had snatched Steph's oop outta the air.

It didn't matter if it was an oop from Steph or that weak ass layup Iggy tried. Nestle Crunch Head should have gone for the dunk at the front/side of the rim and exposed his body a lil bit. With Bron's angle on the play, Iggy could have drawn the foul call. Instead he now comes off like Charles Smith! WEAK ASS SHOT AT THE WRONG FUCKING TIME!

You shouldn't expect MVP caliber clutch plays from someone that does not deserve the MVP. Anyone without bias knows Bron deserved MVP status this year. Bron would've lobbed it or taken it to the rack in those crucial moments like the MVP he is.

Steph doesn't even guard the best player on the opposing team and people gave him the MVP.

I'm here for the petty and glad the WORLD CHAMPION CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WON THE TITLE.

That was a garbage pass by Irving and he's dumb passer in general. When he was about to pass it I had a "Really?!" reaction. Haywood should have just just tried to catch the ball and land without moving to the rim. That alleyoop just wasn't there.
