The banana ruins it to me, dominates the flavor. I am also not a fan of the guarana addition unless I am really dragging ass. It tastes funny. I ate and drank so fucking much fruit in Brazil. Not only do they have their own incredible shit, they bring some great ones from Asia.

My older brother is a pilot for Spirit (I know) and has traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean and Central/South America. In S. America, he's mostly been to Peru and Colombia, but I believe Spirit will eventually break in to Brazil. Eventually I want to travel to Peru and definitely Colombia and Brazil -along with Chile and Argentina.

My brother has said Peru is absolutely beautiful. He also spent a week in Cartagena with his wife and friends last Summer and said it was a blast. He likes Medellin a lot too.

Eventually I'll get down there, but most likely that won't happen til my kids are grown. As long as there are open seats I can use a buddy pass ($15 per flight) which I've used in the past with ease.

started posting here in '03. My daughter just turned 2 yesterday and my son will turn 5 in less than 2 weeks. Crazy how time flies. I'm not sure I even want to see the bullshit I was posting about 10+ years ago on here, lol. Honestly, I think my first post was in response to something outlandish that SPM posted.

Hope your vacation plans work out for you. By all means, don't be afraid to share pics too. I'm sure the scenery is amazing in most places throughout S.America.

avianca, lacsa, taca, copa and shit like that, i fuck with. good service, free booze, fair prices and they treat you well. spirit is fine if you dont have much luggage and all goes well.

argentina is cool, brazil is cool. uruguay i mean i guess you might as well go if you're in argentina but otherwise you could skip it. saw an awesome tango performance there and had a good time but montevideo is easily the sleepiest capital city i have even been to (shit even STATE capitals man, and i went to nebraska!). chill though, kinda artsy and some decent food. buenos aires is some world class shit but the people are assholes. bahia blanca, cordoba, the people are more chill. patagonia you gotta go, gorgeous for sure. brazil i'd love to spend way more time, fun people, just a great vibe

oddly i been to peru twice and never been. me and my girl keep planning it but she is pretty wishy washy about the weather and i am about the crowds so we can't quite time it right. soon though. i had a good ass time in lima and iquitos but still can't believe i never did the MP/Cuzco part.

brazil we were in rio and sao paulo, a little bit of the surrounding areas, too. i went twice, did a pretty similar route both times. the shitty thing was it rained for 19/21 days we were in Rio but still had a blast. i love brasil, trying to get my portuguese up. it's kind of weird, reading it is very easy knowing spanish but speaking it is another story.

lemme know how your trip went, sounds awesome, perfect time to go.

That's nothing more than pride and macho bullshit.

My ex co worker doesn't owe me shit for boundaries outside the law and my ex is my EX for a reason so she's free to do whatever the fuck she wants.

If it's a close friend that's an entirely different situation.

People are looking at this from a ridiculously high school perspective.

None of that matters. Like at all. How you feel is 100% immaterial. She gets to choose who she dates, not your wounded pride and fragile ass ego.

Frankly It's some stalker shit to even think otherwise.

In response to Reply # 26

The key term here is "EX". Not "wife".

Because she's no longer your wife.

Which means you don't have a say in whom she dates.

Which means you're not even entitled to an opinion on the matter.

If you have children together you have a responsibility as a father to keep a watchful eye and make sure dude ain't mistreating your kids in any way.

Aside from that? Sorry champ.

If you think otherwise, you're a prideful, arrogant egomaniacal control freak. Once you divorce, you don't have a say. It's really not open for discussion and it's not a matter of opinion unless you're a knuckle dragging meathead on steroids.

Got kids. All this MIGHT be a lil confusing for kids. Maybe it's a bit more complicated than some angry husband disapproving of some fucking (which I suspect it is). Never been divorced, but I am married and I'd have a strong reaction to my wife frolicking in public with and having another adult male around my kids after a year of separation...'cause of my kid, not wanting her ass back.

Agreed. How exactly does beating his ass fix.....anything? What exactly does that teach the kids?

Maybe
>it's a bit more complicated than some angry husband
>disapproving of some fucking (which I suspect it is)

How? What's so complicated here? They're separated.

Never
>been divorced, but I am married and I'd have a strong reaction
>to my wife frolicking in public with and having another adult
>male around my kids after a year of separation...'cause of my
>kid, not wanting her ass back.

I'd have a strong reaction too. If we separate or divorce though? All that mess is fair game for both sides. You or I or Matt Barnes might not LIKE the situation, but it is what it is.

Here's the real question:

What exactly are you going to do?

You gonna be a real man and risk going to jail to prove what a real man you are by fighting this dude for smashing your wife despite the fact the two of you are separated?

You gonna argue and fight over a woman who seems perfectly happy to get some other dick?

Why the fuck would you even bother fighting to hold on to that type of person? You think that kind of relationship is good for the kids?

So you wouldn't be cool with her dating your old coworker. And? What? What are you gonna do?

I lead with how I'd deal with it.

You lead with thumping your chest trying to appease the rest of this band of antiquated macho men.

I lead with common sense and reality.

Your pride and fragility leads you to believe any man that isn't flipping the fuck out and acting like his ex/separated wife is his personal property to control is somehow "the woman" in this situation.

My common sense and reason leads me to believe that I'd need to suck it up and get over it.

Its a night and day difference, champ.

on some light shit, you take care of the kids because that's the right thing to do even if your ex-wife is on some fuck shit.

i mean i don't know if Fish was a dirty macking ass nigga or not but shit, his EX WIFE moved on and is with that allegedly dirty macking nigga and I'd have to trust he won't fuck my kids over. He can fuck my ex-wife over all he wants and I might root for it on some petty shit.

but right, ain't shit to be but to be mad about it.

He, you, me, we don't get to decide who our ex dates. That's just how it is.

As far as it being "easy" to say, yeah. Literally everything is easier to say than to do. Case in point? Its easier for me to speak these very words than type in a screen on my cell phone.

That doesn't make the truth of what's said any different.

It’s astounding how so many people use that extreme as the barometer with so many things, but I digress.

>Most normal men wouldn't just brush the shit off when she's
>not working and you paying her way in life...
>you skipping over that part of it..

Nothing to skip over. I wasn’t commenting on Barnes/Fish, I was commenting on the general sentiment but since we’re here I’ll bite.

It still doesn’t matter. As I’ve said… you can be as cool or heated as you want. Be mad. Whatever.

And? Then what? Go get an attorney. Go to court. Write letters and change alimony laws and what have you. Traveling to fight dude doesn’t resolve anything. All it does is appease your ego and make you feel like a real man in front of your friends because you “didn’t allow it”.

How did this work out for Matt? All he did was create a situation where their relationship became public. Once it went public they lost all incentive for discretion. All he did was push his own face in it.

You can talk about how easy it is for me to say this, but the fact is I’ve been left for another dude. In fact, I walked in on them in bed together.... and that was after dealing with an on/off relationship for four years. I have the benefit of experience and even then I was smart enough not to fight over someone who didn’t care enough about me to give me that courtesy and respect to cut things off before moving on and not fuck my friends.

Mad and hurt as I was, why the fuck would I fight over someone who so clearly cared so little for me? I eventually found a way to move on and made a great life for myself while she wound up in a shitty relationship had two kids who wound up in foster care and did absolutely nothing good with her life. The dude she ultimately left me for wound up going missing before he was found a year later with his head hanging from a tree and she wound up getting hit by a car and killed walking in the middle of the night.

The moral here? The best revenge is to live well. Trifling people will stay in trifling situations and it does you no good what so ever to continue fight for someone who just plain doesn’t want you anymore.

And that’s what this is all about: dude was hurt and reacted in the weakest way possible. You might think he showed himself to be a real man who didn’t stand for no shit but in truth? That was the weakest move he or anyone else in that situation could have possibly made. He was hurt, his feelings were hurt, his pride and ego were hurt because she doen’t love or respect him enough to wait until the divorce is final to move on, so he lashed out the way a child does.

Don't view someone as a priority when they view you as an option.

Fortunately it was a statement I was told during my teen years during and it has colored a lot of my interactions afterwards. It gets at a lot of what you're saying in that last post imo.

Shouts to ol girl though, she looks great for mid-40s

but I don't see this ending well either way

if they stay together, he won't be back in the NBA and will probably end up on VH1

if they don't stay together, well, alladis was for not

In response to Reply # 0

http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york-knicks/post/_/id/64389/rondo-fisher-blacked-out-when-talking-about-me

NEW YORK -- Rajon Rondo had a strong reaction to ex-Knicks coach Derek Fisher questioning his ability to succeed against the triangle offense.

"He might have blacked out a couple of times (when) we beat their a-- in '08,” Rondo told a small group of reporters after the Kings’ shootaround on Sunday morning. “They got us back in '10. He just might've had a moment where he was a little frustrated with my comment.”

The verbal back-and-forth began in early February when Rondo, a 2016 free agent, said that the Knicks’ triangle offense is “not really a good look for me, I don’t think.”

Fisher's response?

“You can’t ask a guy that wasn’t very successful playing against it whether or not he wants to come play in it,” Fisher said.

Whether Fisher’s thoughts on Rondo are accurate is up to interpretation.

While with the Boston Celtics, Rondo won one NBA Finals and lost another against Fisher and the Los Angeles Lakers.

In the Finals that Rondo’s Celtics lost, the point guard averaged 13.6 points, 7.6 assists, 6.3 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game. Fisher averaged 8.6 points and two assists in that series.

“He didn't really honestly probably think about what he said, obviously. But he has his own opinion,” Rondo said Sunday. “Everyone's entitled to their own opinion and I stated mine a couple months back about it."

Rondo’s initial comments on the triangle were widely interpreted as a sign that he wouldn’t consider the Knicks in free agency.

But the point guard on Sunday had good things to say about the triangle offense, which the Knicks run.

“I think it’s effective. I think it’s great for team chemistry,” Rondo said. “Then when the ball gets moving, everyone touches the ball and you get a feel for it. The great Tommy Heinsohn (Celtics player, coach and broadcaster) told me that.

“When guys are getting the ball they play better defense. It’s hard to run up and down the court three, four possessions and you don’t touch the ball in some offense, to have the same energy defensively. The triangle, I think, energizes the offensive end of the floor but also the defensive end of the floor as well.”

When asked if a point guard like himself could have success in the offense, Rondo said playfully, “Anything is possible, in the words of KG.”

It is unclear at this point if the Knicks will have interest in Rondo this summer. They will have at least $18 million to spend in free agency but team president Phil Jackson said recently that he wouldn’t obsess over finding an elite point guard, in part, because the triangle offense hasn't required one.

For those reading the tea leaves, Rondo’s comments on the triangle -- and his effusive praise of rookie Kristaps Porzingis -- suggest that he would at least consider New York as a possible destination in free agency.

“I’m not saying I couldn’t master (the triangle). I think I can put my mind to it, break down a lot of film if that was the case to be,” Rondo said. “I don’t play in the triangle. I can only speak on what I do know and that’s under George Karl’s system. We’re pretty good offensively. We don’t want to talk about the defense.”

WHAT'S GOOD *****? What's REALLY good?!?!????!!! Ha HA!

between him and the media as he eviscerates Skip and SAS the first time they come with the slick talk. Rondo is a known jerk so it's going to be epic shade too.

The only way Rondo in NY would be better is if they somehow find a way to get DHO. Ron

You never really know what someone will wind up with on the rebound. The only thing you can be sure of is that he/she doesn’t want you/me in that situation.

Some people head straight for the polar opposite. That seems to be the case here. How else can you explain going from Hell Rell Debarge to a dude who most likely rocks a fanny pack at Disneyland?

You also said it was “ironic” that Chernic is actually a woman.
How was I “all over the place” and what’s the “irony” of Chernic’s gender as it relates to my response?

Cool, you think I’d handle this situation differently in real life. I’d handle it exactly as I’ve said, but go ahead and cook with that. You get a laugh out of me explaining that I’d handle a real life situaiton it like a mature and reasonable adult. Cool.

It seems you have trouble disagreeing with my actual words so you’re off on some other shit so let’s get back on track. Now that we’ve addressed the price of tea in China, please explain the “all over the place” and “ironic” comments.

replied to her in post #18 with expletives, she let you cook, she replied to someone else again, and your reply to her comment in post #30 is kind of weird if you knew you were talking to a female. She let you cook some more. Maybe you thought you were responding to someone else. Or maybe you were just talking to the room in general.

Then you generally went off about people having feelings about their ex dating a former co-worker. Then in post #42 you said you'd have a problem with it too. So at that point I'm not really sure what your point is outside of trying to dictate people's emotions and pontificate on how you're much more emotionally mature than everyone else.

been handgrinding and then aeropressing a cup every morning. Not sure I've got the grind fineness right, but it's a nice 2-3 minute wake up and it seems to involve the shoulder muscles I often hurt while snowboarding, so that's an extra bonus. plus, aeropress coffee is damn good--almost pour over quality, much easier to do.

So I start with a normal mediocre machine brew in the morning,
then might switch to a dark tea fo late morning, and THEN
double down on cats with an espresso for that afternoon

But you got me thinking that maybe I should just gone ahead
and do something funky like Aeropress right off top...in the
morning...hmm...lemme think about things

And you say "aeropress is almost pour over quality"...elaborate
on that. I like aeropress because of the syrupy consistency

So... clearly I didn't know it was a woman at the time. I responded to what was said.

She also said "they posturing". Nobody was "posturing".

>She let you cook some more. Maybe you
>thought you were responding to someone else. Or maybe you were
>just talking to the room in general.

I responded to a post. It's dumb as all hell to keep playing this "well she was talking to someone else"

Since when did forums operate that way? A post is a post and people respond to the content of that post. Just so we're clear here, you're basically saying you ONLY respond to posts talking DIRECTLY to you at all times and that's how OKP works and has always worked. Correct?

>Then you generally went off about people having feelings about
>their ex dating a former co-worker. Then in post #42 you said
>you'd have a problem with it too.

Yeah I addressed this with legs. I bypassed the emotional nonsense and got straight to the point: none of shit matters. How you feel doesn't matter. It's not your business. I later pointed out that yeah, I'd probably feel some sort of way, but that I would need to get over it.

I lead with my actual reaction, not my feelings.

>really sure what your point is outside of trying to dictate
>people's emotions and pontificate on how you're much more
>emotionally mature than everyone else.

......says a guy who routinely calls people "crazy", as though that doesn't say you're more emotionally mature than that person.

I wasn't dictating shit. I pointed out how ridiculous and immature all the chest thumping was. THAT was where the posturing was.

So I just respond to the actual words as they are actually written
If you’re here and writing ‘in character’ or whatever and what you say isn’t indicative of what the ‘real’ you would or wouldn’t do, cool.

I’m just gonna respond according to what that screen name says, not what I think the real person behind the screen name actually thinks .

Everyone didn’t thump their chest.

Everyone who replied wasn’t on some macho, prideful bullshit. Some folks had a more thoughtful take on the subject.

So what then? Only post a response that’s just as macho and prideful as those who are? Is that the only tone or tact that’s allowed or acceptable? Should there be no attempt to find reason?

Because a contrary response elicited a ton of “THEY JUST POSTURING! NO WAY IN HELL IS THiS COOL! THEY HAPPY TO SEE JACK IN ACCOUNTING TO DICK DOWN WIFEY!”

And don’t give me this spill about not engaging them either. I could have posted my thoughts without replying directly to Chernic and the same string of responses would have occurred.

People post like jackals when someone deviates from groupthink whether or not you’re going at them directly. People talk about me going back and forth yet somehow neglect the fact that it requires two parties in a given exchange.

In response to Reply # 105

I’m guessing the answer is no if this is your definition.

Further, this post wasn’t about “Fisher with his t-shirt tucked in his shirt playing piggyback with his boy's ex”.

It was about a man dating his ex coworkers ex wife. Or separated wife. Whichever. There’s actually plenty to be thoughtful about on that subject. Everyone seems pretty serious in the “NO WAY IN HELL!” camp. Chernic seemed pretty serious in her response to Cenario’s post. Remember? “Your ex coworker dates your ex wife and your cool with it? FOH! You’re caping hella hard!”

Nah, you be right. That’s all just jokey joke and not serious at all and didn’t warrant a serious response. Apparently THAT wasn’t going off but me pointing out how ridiculous that stance was IS?
Looks like a pretty biased assessment of things.

is this isn't really "going off" because there's worse out there? not a good look for a sports board message about a dude banging a former teammate's ex.

because CherNic called bullshit on cenario, right or wrong and then replied "k"?

I have no idea what you're talking about here. I didnt say there's worse out there.

OMG ALERT THE INTERNET POLICE.

My bad. I'm sorry for having a thought and expressing it.

>fam, someone on the internet disagrees with you. TO THE COLD

Fam, I disagreed with someone on a message board and had the audacity to articulate my thoughts about why.

OMG THATS SO UNBELIEVABLY WILD OMG MAKE A FEDERAL FUCKING CASE ABOUT IT OMG OMG OMG

Hell you people are far more incredulous at my response than my response. There are thirty posts because I have like 6 people having a goddamned conniption over it.

>(and yeah, i know i'm being haughtier than you. because it's

Sig is dumb as hell.

You can be the guy who "makes mad"
I'll be the guy who makes sense...
.... which CLEARLY does far more 'mad making' than this bullshit you're trying to do.

I mean, you and like 7 other dudes took issue with me talking sense to people who thought they were talking sense too. It doesn't get madder than that. Well, mad by this dumbass, internet cliche definiton guys like you and basa and OE stay on.

What's funny is you idiots say that shit with pride to boot.

Those "OMG" lines were echoing your own, champ. There's no "spiral" here. Again…. the response to my posts are far more incredulous and OMG than anything I’ve said in here.

>please reply. and to bait you, I said there's worse out there

LOL let's be real here... You didn't bait me with that. That was your genuine response. It was just dumb and off base.

>there's worse "going
>off" than your incessant need to defend your message board
>honor and condescension.

I’m hardly “going off”. Again… you guys are FAR more worked up over my take on this than I am. By a LOT.

You can apply that whole "need to defend message board honor and condescension" to pretty much everyone who goes back and forth with me. Including yourself right in this very exchange. Actually you can apply that to most people. As far as my “need” to defend myself, you should probably look at the “need” people have to come at me en masse on a regular basis. As I’ve said, if I have 30 posts in a thread, that means there at least 29 posts from someone else.

yeah, and most of them are 1/5th as long as yours, 1/10th as serious, and 100x more purposefully humorous. but i replied again, so please feel free to explain the same shit to me again for the 5th (6th? who cares) time all started by my reply that i love when posts get cold truth'd and then in my second reply said i agree with you but find your replies ridiculous. so to prove me wrong, you post replies to me that only serve to prove my point right.

In which case he was preaching against himself

No suspension of reality though. That's just you and your typically fast & loose relationship with facts.

Some folks lead with their reaction.

I lead with how I'd deal with it.

Folks lead with thumping their chest trying to appease the rest of this band of antiquated macho men.

I lead with common sense and reality.

Its a night and day difference, champ.

Y’all can do the prefight OH HELL NO dance all day man.
As we’ve established, in the end nobody here is actually doing anything in this situation.

I skipped the barking and theatrics done in the name of saving face in front of the rest of the cavemen. Shit legs did his OH HELL NO dance for a few posts before finally settling down and admitting all he could do was be mad.

I said I’d have a problem with it…. But I’m smart enough and mature enough to know that this is entirely my personal problem to deal with. I don’t need to do all the chest thumping and roaring to arrive at that conclusion.

You’re apparently a lesser man in that regard. I understand

Oh and some of the so-called “preaching” was done in direct response to the absurdly dismissive and over the top tone presented from jump. NO WAY THEY COOL WITH AN EX COWORKER DATING THEIR EX WIFE!! THEY HAPPY TO SEE JACK GIVE OUT THAT DICK!

Uh… nah.

But we both know how you do things.

We both know how selective you are and how context doesn’t mean a damn thing to you.

1 was in my wedding party. She became mad cool with my wife. Her husband was in our wedding too. He was my boy. We were in there wedding.

A dude my wife used to mess with was at our wedding. We actually were tryna holla at her at he same time. I won, dude wound up moving outta state, getting married and coming back around. We had mutual friends so we wound being cool.

I know this ain't the same as barnes/fish situation but most people i tell this too are surprised and say they couldn't do it.

There are only 2 types of exes that I can't still be cool with...1)are the crazy ones 2) is if they still present some sort of temptation/the one that got away.

A 3rd would be if we really progressed far in our relationship and it didn't work out...but that really is n/a for me.

I think that would be the thing...

I never fukked with exes when they was exes....

it was a challenge at first to get my wife to understand that..... I'd always tell her that "even if we weren't married, I still wouldn't talk to her...lol."

the fact that your exes sound like they have spouses probably makes it easier to be cool with them...

When a female gets a certain age, and ain't nobody wifed em.... or if they divorced all ready..... they tend to be bitter and it's best not to have them in your circle IMO....

When we had broke up that's when her and dude started 'talking' (even tho I ain't know at the time and I'm sure they were talking before that). We get back together and a month into it we get into it and she leaves. A week after that she post a pic of ol boy and her with the caption 'thankful for this good man for helping me get thru these tough times'. 4 months later they're engaged. So not exactly the same. But similar.

Mainly because it makes no sense to bring up because it's not a factor.

While we're at it he didn't murder Fish.

He didn't kill Fish's dog.

He didn't take a shit on her doorstep either from what I understand.

Hey, he also didn't set the house on fire.

From what I understand he also didn't switch her salt with sugar or unleash a swarm or aphids into the garden or poor jello into the swimming pool or piss in the fish tank or replace her laundry detergent with bleach.

Saying he didn't do any of those things is just as relevant as Saying he didn't murder her.

I know everything you said is 100% a joke and this is all in character and nothing you or anyone else ever says in here is ever remotely close to being remotely close to serious because jerseytornado says so and all, but yeah. The Simpson thing is ridiculous.

That's the inept logic people use to justify just about anything from child abuse to embezzlement.

Well it's not like he killed her!!

Well yeah. That's an extreme barometer. When the sole measurement for "yeah this wasn't a good thing" is murder, you're pretty far off the reservation and missing the point completely.

He was there because his son seemed upset that his mother had another man over the house, after he had just spent the day hanging out with mommy and daddy....

not just Derek Fisher is fukkin with your still wife...

not just that he's over the house you paid for....

but you come across all of this because your son calls you upset over the phone....

but him being mad is "weak"?????

His kid was upset that another man was in the house.

Not upset because this man was abusing or mistreating him or his siblings or his momma.

Just that dude was there. That's understandable.

I haven't seen or heard one indication that something was actually amiss.

So if he showed up to check out the situation, cool.
If he showed up to calm down his son, understood.
If he rolled out to make sure everything was on the up and up?

All good.

But that's not what happened.

He showed up and and swung on Fish with ZERO, ABSOLUTELY ZERO indication that Fish said or did anything to warrant being assaulted.

YEP.

Matt was weak as fuck.

Soccer Player Quits Team After Learning Teammate Was Sleeping With His Wife

http://screamer.deadspin.com/soccer-player-leaves-team-after-learning-teammate-was-s-1766710292

The man pictured above is Christian Keller, very recently the captain of Danish first-division club Randers. He and his fellow Horses had to bid adieu to one of their teammates today, after Jonas Borring announced that certain personal events had led him to decide to leave the club. What instigated Borring’s hasty mid-season exit? His discovery that captain Keller was shtupping his wife.

News of this broke last week, after the club was forced to take action in hopes of solving this dilemma. The details of what the Danish media has been calling “kone-gate”—translation: “Wife-gate”—are as follows: Borring and his wife, Kira Egsgaard Borring, while in fact being recently estranged, still lived in the same home together with their two children; Keller and Egsgaard began seeing each other, unbeknownst to Borring; at some point, Borring found out about the relationship and blew a gasket.

Borring has been very public with his feelings of betrayal. Here’s one of Borring’s summations of his pain, as reported in the Guardian:

“That she has decided to get together with our captain hurts a lot and that makes the situation between me and Keller at Randers untenable. He has broken rule No. 1 in the dressing room. He has completely knifed me in the back.”
For his part, Keller has expressed his own reasonable sentiments of empathy for Borring but has also offered a defense of his actions—after all, the married couple were estranged:

“I have told the rest of the squad what has happened and what I think. I am not an ice-cold person who doesn’t feel empathy with Borring or the team. I have a heart and I have followed mine. I have followed my feelings. And that is why we are in this situation.”
All of this has obviously been a difficult for not only Borring, Keller, and Egsgaard, but also (to a much lesser degree) the club as a whole. Both Borring’s and Keller’s sides have at least some emotional logic to them: it’s understandable that Borring would be hurt by this, as this is an even more egregious violation of the old “Don’t date your friends’ exes” adage. On the other hand, Keller and Egsgaard can just as sensibly posit that as two consenting adults, they are free to date whomever they want, free from concerns about Borring’s personal opinions on the matter.

It’s for these reasons that the club presumably had such a hard time rectifying the situation. Manager Chris Todd’s first first decision was to strip Keller of his captaincy and instruct the player to stay away from the team while everyone had time to think about how to proceed.

Borring’s position, as he hinted at in the quote above, was clear: he was not about to share a dressing room with Keller ever again. Keller himself recognized the impossibility of a reconciliation, though admitted himself that he had no intention of sacrificing his own place at the club:

“I think the matter is with the club and that they will have to make a decision about what will happen. But I can’t see anything else happening apart from one of us leaving the club.

“I have been given no indication that it will be me who leaves but I am not the one who will be deciding that. The people at Randers will.”
Reading between the lines of today’s announcement, the club’s decision-making process is pretty clear. Here’s Borring’s statement that he would no longer be continuing on at Randers:

“After long considerations and an emotionally difficult time I really wanted to return but considering the circumstances I found that impossible to do. Randers is a club that has meant a lot to me and it will be very difficult to leave the fans who have given me so much support and been part of my success. Randers will always have a special place in my heart and I have received so much sympathy and support the recently and I will never forget that. I will now start a new adventure in football.”
And here’s the club’s statement:

“We would have been delighted to see Jonas Borring back with the team but that was not possible. His departure is a sporting loss for us but we hope to see him on a football pitch, where he belongs, soon again. We are grateful for what he did for Randers and wish him every success in the future.
What most likely happened was that Randers, wanting to keep both players, held out hope that the two men would resolve their differences and put everything behind them. While initially siding with Borring—see: taking away Keller’s captaincy and keeping him out of the team—they nonetheless had no intention of getting rid of Keller for good. Borring was not about to make up with Keller, and so he made good on his ultimatum and asked for a mutual termination of his own contract. So Borring’s gone, Keller’s back in the team, and everything goes back to normal(ish).

Keller, when asked about today’s news, probably had the best perspective:

“We are losing a good player, someone who would have helped the team, but we have lost players before who would have helped the team and I think that the club, the squad and myself will move on. We won’t stop to play football just because a player leaves us.”
