"Washington Football Club 2016 Off Season: another day, all our dollars"

Kept 3rd-longest-tentured DC athlete Kedric Golston.

Kept KC Masterpiece but didn't give him a long term contract off a 10-game run.

Kept all their dollars AND their draft picks.

is the fact that Snyder obviously trusts him in the first place. Every single move we've made from about week 8 on feels free of Snyder's fingerprints.

RG3, Dashon Goldson, Jeron Johnson, Pot Roast, Tom Compton, Keenan Robinson, Alfred Morris, Darrel Young, Jason Hatcher

Duke Ihenacho has been given an offer, and Colt McCoy has as well.

Skins do have some big name targets though, Kam Chancellor and Reggie Nelson are on the list. Chris Long has recently visited as well (Dunno how he fits but *shrug*). McCloughan is going after them, he's just not making big headlines with it.

and he's actually a great fit. He doesn't have the speed to be an *elite* back, but in a tandem behind a great OL he can be very good.

JOSH NORMAN! WOOO!

Normally I would be skeptical about big free agent signings but this feels different. I think GMSM did his homework on this one and didn't just go with the most talented player. I think not only is he talented, but he is a good fit for what we want to do. I don't think I have ever felt this way about a DC franchise since.....ever.

Zone or man it don't make a difference when you're starting bammas like David Amersom and Bacari Rambo in the secondary but, yes, seems like we're zone-heavy.

I can't believe we pulled this off and I couldn't be more excited about it.

Something that Amerson didn't put the time into. Breeland made more right decisions than wrong ones but when you aren't on the same page, it makes you look bad.

Norman is a front loaded contract too so he won't hurt too much after about year 3. Its a good get definitely.

so I guess I will be too.

Viewing through the "plan for the future" prism, this makes sense.

If you think about our three crucial pass catchers, we would all agree that Jordan Reed is most crucial to the operation and he's coming towards the end of his rookie deal too. So that likely means letting Desean and/or Pierre go in order to free up money for long-term Reed and Cousins deals. And assuming Crowder continues to improve, it makes even more sense to take this kid. Your corps of the future ends up looking like Doctson, Crowder, and Reed and I think that still has potential to be a hell of a group.

yo, I can't believe I'm saying this but...who had a better offseason than the Skins? I mean an actual PROFESSIONAL offseason? Scot Mccloughan is our greatest free agent signing of the last 20 years.

http://wtop.com/washington-redskins/2016/05/jordan-reed-signs-50m-extension-with-redskins/

WASHINGTON — The Washington Redskins have announced that they’ve locked up tight end Jordan Reed, one of the linchpins of their offense, with a five-year contract extension.

NFL.com says the deal is worth $50 million.

Reed led the team in receptions (87), receiving yards (952) and touchdowns (11) last season. His totals in the first two categories were team records for tight ends, and he was the first tight end to lead the team in all three of those categories in nearly 40 years.

He did all this despite missing two games with a concussion.

Reed was taken in the third round of the 2013 Draft — 85th overall, the team says.

My concern now is how the coaching will be with this roster. Still not there talent-wise, but the expectations for Gruden should be higher now.
